Jesus knew their thoughts and said to them:“ Any kingdom divided against itself will be ruined, and a house divided against itself will fall.

耶穌叫他們來，用比喻對他們說：「撒但怎能趕出撒但呢？一國若自相紛爭，那國就立不住；一家若自相紛爭，那家就立不住。撒但若自相攻打紛爭，他就立不住，必定滅亡。沒有人能進壯士家裏，搶奪他的東西；除非先綁住那壯士，否則無法搶奪他的家。

耶穌知道他們的心思，就說：「你們心裏為甚麼懷着惡念呢？

我要激起埃及人攻擊埃及人，弟兄攻擊弟兄，鄰舍攻擊鄰舍，這城攻擊那城，這國攻擊那國。埃及人的心神在裏面耗盡，我要破壞他們的計謀。他們必求問偶像和念咒的，求問招魂的與行巫術的人。

耶穌知道他們的心思，就對他們說：「一國自相紛爭，必定荒蕪；一城一家自相紛爭，必立不住。若撒但趕出撒但，就是自相紛爭，他的國怎能立得住呢？我若靠着別西卜趕鬼，你們的子弟趕鬼又靠着誰呢？這樣，他們要作你們的判官。我若靠着神的靈趕鬼，那麼，神的國就已臨到你們了。人怎能進壯士家裏搶奪他的東西呢？除非先綁住那壯士，否則無法搶奪他的家。

以色列人在猶大人面前逃跑，神將他們交在猶大人手裏。亞比雅和他的軍兵大大擊殺以色列人，以色列人被殺仆倒的精兵有五十萬。

以色列眾人見王不依從他們，百姓就回覆王說：「我們在大衛中有甚麼分呢？我們在耶西的兒子中沒有產業！以色列啊，各回自己的帳棚去吧！大衛啊，現在你顧自己的家吧！」於是，以色列眾人都回自己的帳棚去了；至於住猶大城鎮的以色列人，羅波安仍作他們的王。羅波安王派監管勞役的哈多蘭去，以色列人用石頭打他，他就死了。羅波安王急忙上車，逃回耶路撒冷去了。這樣，以色列背叛大衛家，直到今日。

有人右邊搶奪，猶受飢餓；左邊吞吃，仍不飽足，各人吃自己膀臂上的肉。瑪拿西吞吃以法蓮，以法蓮吞吃瑪拿西，他們又一同攻擊猶大。雖然如此，耶和華的怒氣並未轉消；他的手依然伸出。

我又要殺死她的兒女，眾教會就知道，我是那察看人肺腑心腸的，我要照你們的行為報應各人。

也用不着誰來證明人是怎樣的，因為他自己認識人的內心。
