當時，有人把一個被鬼附，又盲又啞的人帶到耶穌那裏，耶穌醫治他，那啞巴就能說話，又能看見。眾人都驚奇，說：「這不是大衛之子嗎？」但法利賽人聽見，就說：「這個人趕鬼，無非是靠着鬼王別西卜罷了。」

他們出去的時候，有人把一個被鬼附的啞巴帶到耶穌跟前來。鬼被趕出去，啞巴就說出話來。眾人都很驚訝，說：「在以色列，從來沒有見過這樣的事。」法利賽人卻說：「他是靠着鬼王趕鬼的。」

有人帶着一個耳聾舌結的人來見耶穌，求他為他按手。耶穌領他離開眾人，到一邊去，就用指頭探他的耳朵，吐唾沫抹他的舌頭，望天嘆息，對他說：「以法大！」就是說「開了吧！」他的耳朵立刻開了，舌結也解了，他說話也清楚了。耶穌囑咐他們不要告訴人；但他越囑咐，他們越發傳揚。眾人分外驚奇，說：「他所做的事樣樣都好，他甚至使聾子聽見，啞巴說話。」
