致創世以來所流先知之血、皆於此代而討焉、

使創世以來、流先知血之罪、將於此代而討焉、

致創世以來、流先知之血、悉將討於此代、

故自有世以來、眾先知所流之血、咸將歸於斯代。」

Therefore this generation will be held responsible for the blood of all the prophets that has been shed since the beginning of the world,

流你們血、害你們命的，我必向他追討；我要向一切走獸追討，向人和向人的弟兄追討人命。凡流人血的，他的血也必被人所流，因為神造人，是照自己的形像造的。

耶路撒冷啊，要剪頭髮，扔掉它，在光禿的高地唱哀歌，因為耶和華棄絕、離棄了惹他發怒的世代。』」

不可跪拜那些像，也不可事奉它們，因為我耶和華－你的神是忌邪的神。恨我的，我必懲罰他們的罪，自父及子，直到三、四代；

因為，看哪，耶和華從他的居所出來，要懲罰地上居民的罪孽。地必露出其中的血，不再掩蓋被殺的人。

這是行毀滅的臨到巴比倫。巴比倫的勇士被捉住，他們的弓折斷了；因為耶和華是施行報應的神，他必施行報應。

這樣，你們就不會污穢所住之地，因為血能使地污穢；若有血流在地上，除非流那殺人者的血，否則那地就不得潔淨。

那位追討流人血的，他記念受屈的人，不忘記困苦人的哀求。

又因他流無辜人的血，使無辜人的血充滿耶路撒冷；耶和華不願赦免。

天哪，眾聖徒、眾使徒、眾先知啊！你們都要因她歡喜，因為神已經在她身上為你們伸了冤。」有一位大力的天使舉起一塊石頭，好像大磨石，扔在海裏，說：「巴比倫大城也必這樣猛力地被扔下去，絕對見不到了。彈琴、歌唱、吹笛、吹號的聲音，在你中間絕對聽不見了；各行手藝的技工在你中間絕對見不到了；推磨的聲音在你中間絕對聽不見了；燈臺的光在你中間絕對不再照耀了；新郎和新娘的聲音在你中間絕對聽不見了。你的商人原來是地上的顯要；萬國也被你的邪術迷惑了。先知、聖徒和地上一切被殺的人的血都在這城裏找到了。」
