Elijah took twelve stones, one for each of the tribes descended from Jacob, to whom the word of the Lord had come, saying,“ Your name shall be Israel.”

Elijah got 12 stones. There was one for each tribe in the family line of Jacob. The Lord’ s message had come to Jacob. It had said,“ Your name will be Israel.”

“人子啊，你要取一根木杖，在其上写‘为犹大和他的盟友以色列人’；又取一根木杖，在其上写‘为约瑟，就是以法莲的杖，和他的盟友以色列全家’。你要将这两根木杖彼此相接，连成一根，使它们在你手中合而为一。当你本国的子民对你说：‘你这是什么意思，你不指示我们吗？’你就对他们说，主耶和华如此说：看哪，我要将约瑟和他的盟友以色列支派的杖，就是在以法莲手中的那根，与犹大的杖接连成为一根，在我手中合而为一。你要在他们眼前，把写了字的那两根杖拿在手中，对他们说，主耶和华如此说：看哪，我要从以色列人所到的列国带领他们，从四围聚集他们，领他们回到本地。我要使他们在这地，在以色列群山上成为一国，必有一王作他们全体的王。他们不再成为二国，绝不再分为二国。

我听见以色列人各支派中受印的数目有十四万四千；犹大支派中受印的有一万二千；吕便支派中有一万二千；迦得支派中有一万二千；亚设支派中有一万二千；拿弗他利支派中有一万二千；玛拿西支派中有一万二千；西缅支派中有一万二千；利未支派中有一万二千；以萨迦支派中有一万二千；西布伦支派中有一万二千；约瑟支派中有一万二千；便雅悯支派中受印的有一万二千。

摩西将耶和华一切的命令都写下来。他清早起来，在山脚筑了一座坛，按着以色列十二支派立了十二根石柱。

被建造在使徒和先知的根基上，而基督耶稣自己为房角石，

他们为这神殿的奉献礼献了一百头公牛、二百只公绵羊、四百只小绵羊，又照以色列支派的数目献十二只公山羊，作以色列众人的赎罪祭。

雅各在那里筑了一座坛，起名叫伊利‧伊罗伊‧以色列。

身体只有一个，圣灵只有一位，正如你们蒙召，是为同有一个指望而蒙召，一主，一信，一洗，一神—就是万人之父，超越万有之上，贯通万有，在万有之中。

它有高大的墙，有十二个门，门上有十二位天使，门上又写着以色列人十二个支派的名字。
