Return their cloak by sunset so that your neighbor may sleep in it. Then they will thank you, and it will be regarded as a righteous act in the sight of the Lord your God.

Return it before the sun goes down. They need it to sleep in and will thank you for returning it. The Lord your God will see it and know that you have done the right thing.

You shall restore to him the pledge as the sun sets, that he may sleep in his cloak and bless you. And it shall be righteousness for you before the Lord your God.

則爾之光明、必如平旦、爾之沉痾、一朝頓失、爾之仁義、護爾於前、我之榮光、衛爾於後。

裸無衣而露宿、寒無衾以蔽體、登山遇雨、棲身巖穴。

受人質則反之、盜人物則償之、不復為惡、遵我法度、以望得生、則生命可保、死所不臨。

不虐遇人、不攘奪人、受人質即反之、饑者供以食、裸者被以衣、

虐遇貧乏、強暴是作、不反質、崇敬偶像、多行不義、

勿惡念是懷、謂七年當釋之期伊邇、遂睚眦同儕之貧乏者、無有所予、其呼籲耶和華、罪歸於爾、爾當予之、賙給之時、心無不悅、蓋為此故、爾之上帝耶和華、必於凡所為錫嘏於爾。

願主矜恤阿尼色弗家、彼屢慰我、不以我縲絏為恥、在羅馬時、多方求我、至於得見、願主恩賜矜恤之、聿至乃日、昔在以弗所、阿尼色弗事我、爾知之矣、

彼見施濟、明爾悅服基督福音、厚捐金與彼及眾、歸榮上帝、彼亦見上帝錫爾厚恩、戀慕爾曹、為爾祈禱、

不虐遇人、不攘奪人、受人質、即反之、使饑者得飽、裸者不寒、

迨乎非尼哈崛興、施厥刑罰、疾疫以止兮、其義彰彰、永世靡暨兮。

惟眷顧孤寡於患難間、處世而自守無玷、是誠虔共、無纖垢於父上帝前、

亞伯蘭信耶和華、耶和華遂稱之為義。

貧者所欲我施之、嫠者所望我遂之。簞食之微、不敢自食、亦必與孤子共。我自幼時、撫人之孤、助人之嫠。我見流民無衣、貧者無服、衣以羊毛、俾暖其體、而祝謝我、

彼取人之衣為質、陳於祭壇之前、偃卧於上、彼罰人供酒、飲於其上帝殿、

念茲勿忘、不矜恤人者、則被鞫時、亦必不見矜恤、惟素矜恤人者、喜以待鞫、兄弟乎、人言信主而不行善、何益之有、第信不行、豈能得救乎、兄弟姊妹、衣食匱乏、而爾曰、安然以往、願爾得溫飽、如不以彼所需賜之、何益之有、第信不行、其信歸於無有、人言爾惟信主、善則行善、爾若無行、焉能以信示我、吾既有行、將以我信示爾、上帝惟一、爾信之誠善、群鬼亦信之而戰慄、虛誕之人乎、爾當知信而不行、其信歸於無有、昔吾祖亞伯拉罕獻子以撒於壇、非以所行明其義乎、厥行即信之功效、而信以之全備、應經所云、亞伯拉罕信上帝、遂得稱義、於是亞伯拉罕為上帝所愛、
