The Joy of Forgiveness

1How joyful is the one
whose transgression is forgiven,
whose sin is covered!32:1 Ps 85:2
2How joyful is a person whom
the Lord does not charge with iniquity32:1–2 Rm 4:7–8

3When I kept silent, my bones became brittle

and did not conceal my iniquity.
I said, “I will confess my transgressions to the Lord,”

When great floodwaters come,

9Do not be like a horse or mule,
without understanding,
that must be controlled with bit and bridle

but the one who trusts in the Lord
will have faithful love surrounding him.32:10 Ps 5:12
11Be glad in the Lord and rejoice,
you righteous ones;
shout for joy,
