I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my loving eye on you.

I will guide you and teach you the way you should go. I will give you good advice and watch over you with love.

The Lord says,“ I will guide you along the best pathway for your life. I will advise you and watch over you.

But look, the LORD keeps his eye on those who fear him— those who depend on his faithful love

The LORD is good and upright; therefore he shows sinners the way.He leads the humble in what is right and teaches them his way.All the LORD’s ways show faithful love and truth to those who keep his covenant and decrees.

Take up my yoke and learn from me, because I am lowly and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.

They will not hunger or thirst, the scorching heat or sun will not strike them; for their compassionate one will guide them, and lead them to springs.

Accept my instruction instead of silver, and knowledge rather than pure gold.For wisdom is better than jewels, and nothing desirable can equal it.

My son, don’t forget my teaching, but let your heart keep my commands;

Listen, sons, to a father’s discipline, and pay attention so that you may gain understanding,for I am giving you good instruction. Don’t abandon my teaching.When I was a son with my father, tender and precious to my mother,he taught me and said,“ Your heart must hold on to my words. Keep my commands and live.Get wisdom, get understanding; don’t forget or turn away from the words from my mouth.Don’t abandon wisdom, and she will watch over you; love her, and she will guard you.Wisdom is supreme— so get wisdom. And whatever else you get, get understanding.Cherish her, and she will exalt you; if you embrace her, she will honor you.She will place a garland of favor on your head; she will give you a crown of beauty.”Listen, my son. Accept my words, and you will live many years.I am teaching you the way of wisdom; I am guiding you on straight paths.When you walk, your steps will not be hindered; when you run, you will not stumble.Hold on to instruction; don’t let go. Guard it, for it is your life.

Come, children, listen to me; I will teach you the fear of the LORD.
