Therefore let everyone who is faithful pray to you immediately. When great floodwaters come, they will not reach him.

因此凡虔誠人、當在可蒙主恩之時、祈求主、洪水氾濫、必不臨及其身、

傳語虔信。及時祈主。洪水不犯。主實砥柱。

Therefore let all the faithful pray to you while you may be found; surely the rising of the mighty waters will not reach them.

Let everyone who is faithful pray to you while they can still look to you. When troubles come like a flood, they certainly won’t reach those who are faithful.

Therefore let everyone who is godly offer prayer to you at a time when you may be found; surely in the rush of great waters, they shall not reach him.

Seek the LORD while he may be found; call to him while he is near.

When you pass through the waters, I will be with you, and the rivers will not overwhelm you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be scorched, and the flame will not burn you.

For he says: At an acceptable time I listened to you, and in the day of salvation I helped you. See, now is the acceptable time; now is the day of salvation!

I will boast in the LORD; the humble will hear and be glad.Proclaim the LORD’s greatness with me; let us exalt his name together.I sought the LORD, and he answered me and rescued me from all my fears.Those who look to him are radiant with joy; their faces will never be ashamed.

Deep calls to deep in the roar of your waterfalls; all your breakers and your billows have swept over me.

Know that the LORD has set apart the faithful for himself; the LORD will hear when I call to him.

You will look for me, but you will not find me; and where I am, you cannot come.”

He put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to our God. Many will see and fear, and they will trust in the LORD.

I now rejoice, not because you were grieved, but because your grief led to repentance. For you were grieved as God willed, so that you didn’t experience any loss from us.For godly grief produces a repentance that leads to salvation without regret, but worldly grief produces death.

This is what the LORD says: I will answer you in a time of favor, and I will help you in the day of salvation. I will keep you, and I will appoint you to be a covenant for the people, to restore the land, to make them possess the desolate inheritances,

instructing us to deny godlessness and worldly lusts and to live in a sensible, righteous, and godly way in the present age,

“ Therefore, everyone who hears these words of mine and acts on them will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock.The rain fell, the rivers rose, and the winds blew and pounded that house. Yet it didn’t collapse, because its foundation was on the rock.But everyone who hears these words of mine and doesn’t act on them will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand.The rain fell, the rivers rose, the winds blew and pounded that house, and it collapsed. It collapsed with a great crash.”

The flood continued for forty days on the earth; the water increased and lifted up the ark so that it rose above the earth.The water surged and increased greatly on the earth, and the ark floated on the surface of the water.Then the water surged even higher on the earth, and all the high mountains under the whole sky were covered.The mountains were covered as the water surged above them more than twenty feet.Every creature perished— those that crawl on the earth, birds, livestock, wildlife, and those that swarm on the earth, as well as all mankind.Everything with the breath of the spirit of life in its nostrils— everything on dry land died.

But as for me, LORD, my prayer to you is for a time of favor. In your abundant, faithful love, God, answer me with your sure salvation.Rescue me from the miry mud; don’t let me sink. Let me be rescued from those who hate me and from the deep water.Don’t let the floodwaters sweep over me or the deep swallow me up; don’t let the Pit close its mouth over me.

Then the water would have engulfed us; the torrent would have swept over us;the raging water would have swept over us.

Save me, God, for the water has risen to my neck.I have sunk in deep mud, and there is no footing; I have come into deep water, and a flood sweeps over me.

He comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any kind of affliction, through the comfort we ourselves receive from God.

Reach down from on high; rescue me from deep water, and set me free from the grasp of foreigners

Then they will call me, but I won’t answer; they will search for me, but won’t find me.

saying,“ If you knew this day what would bring peace— but now it is hidden from your eyes.For the days will come on you when your enemies will build a barricade around you, surround you, and hem you in on every side.They will crush you and your children among you to the ground, and they will not leave one stone on another in your midst, because you did not recognize the time when God visited you.”

From his mouth the serpent spewed water like a river flowing after the woman, to sweep her away with a flood.But the earth helped the woman. The earth opened its mouth and swallowed up the river that the dragon had spewed from his mouth.

But I received mercy for this reason, so that in me, the worst of them, Christ Jesus might demonstrate his extraordinary patience as an example to those who would believe in him for eternal life.

Restore the joy of your salvation to me, and sustain me by giving me a willing spirit.Then I will teach the rebellious your ways, and sinners will return to you.
