Then he showed me Joshua the high priest standing before the angel of the Lord, and Satan standing at his right side to accuse him.

Then the Lord showed me Joshua the high priest. He was standing in front of the angel of the Lord. Satan was standing to the right of Joshua. He was there to bring charges against the high priest.

Then the angel showed me Jeshua the high priest standing before the angel of the Lord. The Accuser, Satan, was there at the angel’s right hand, making accusations against Jeshua.

Then he showed me the high priest Joshua standing before the angel of the LORD, with Satan standing at his right side to accuse him.

Then he showed me Joshua the high priest standing before the angel of the Lord, and Satan standing at his right to accuse him.

Then he showed me Joshua the high priest standing before the Angel of the Lord, and Satan standing at his right hand to oppose him.

And he showed me Joshua the high priest standing before the angel of Jehovah, and Satan standing at his right hand to be his adversary.

Then he showed me Joshua the high priest standing before the Angel of the Lord, with Satan standing at his right side to accuse him.

And he shewed me Joshua the high priest standing before the angel of the LORD, and Satan standing at his right hand to resist him.

Next I saw Joshua the high priest standing before the angel of the LORD, with Satan standing at his right hand to accuse him.

He showed me Joshua the high priest standing before Yahweh’s angel, and Satan standing at his right hand to be his adversary.

Take from them silver and gold, and make a crown, and set it on the head of Joshua, the son of Jehozadak, the high priest.

Appoint a wicked man against him; let an accuser stand at his right hand.

And the great dragon was thrown down, that ancient serpent, who is called the devil and Satan, the deceiver of the whole world— he was thrown down to the earth, and his angels were thrown down with him.And I heard a loud voice in heaven, saying,“ Now the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God and the authority of his Christ have come, for the accuser of our brothers has been thrown down, who accuses them day and night before our God.

In the second year of Darius the king, in the sixth month, on the first day of the month, the word of the Lord came by the hand of Haggai the prophet to Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and to Joshua the son of Jehozadak, the high priest:

Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.

Then Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel and Jeshua the son of Jozadak arose and began to rebuild the house of God that is in Jerusalem, and the prophets of God were with them, supporting them.

Therefore thus says the Lord:“ If you return, I will restore you, and you shall stand before me. If you utter what is precious, and not what is worthless, you shall be as my mouth. They shall turn to you, but you shall not turn to them.

Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan also came among them.The Lord said to Satan,“ From where have you come?” Satan answered the Lord and said,“ From going to and fro on the earth, and from walking up and down on it.”And the Lord said to Satan,“ Have you considered my servant Job, that there is none like him on the earth, a blameless and upright man, who fears God and turns away from evil?”Then Satan answered the Lord and said,“ Does Job fear God for no reason?Have you not put a hedge around him and his house and all that he has, on every side? You have blessed the work of his hands, and his possessions have increased in the land.But stretch out your hand and touch all that he has, and he will curse you to your face.”And the Lord said to Satan,“ Behold, all that he has is in your hand. Only against him do not stretch out your hand.” So Satan went out from the presence of the Lord.

He strove with the angel and prevailed; he wept and sought his favor. He met God at Bethel, and there God spoke with us—the Lord, the God of hosts, the Lord is his memorial name:

Then I said,‘ What are these, my lord?’ The angel who talked with me said to me,‘ I will show you what they are.’

And behold, the angel who talked with me came forward, and another angel came forward to meet him

“ The Lord your God will raise up for you a prophet like me from among you, from your brothers— it is to him you shall listen—

“ Simon, Simon, behold, Satan demanded to have you, that he might sift you like wheat,

Again there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan also came among them to present himself before the Lord.And the Lord said to Satan,“ From where have you come?” Satan answered the Lord and said,“ From going to and fro on the earth, and from walking up and down on it.”And the Lord said to Satan,“ Have you considered my servant Job, that there is none like him on the earth, a blameless and upright man, who fears God and turns away from evil? He still holds fast his integrity, although you incited me against him to destroy him without reason.”Then Satan answered the Lord and said,“ Skin for skin! All that a man has he will give for his life.But stretch out your hand and touch his bone and his flesh, and he will curse you to your face.”And the Lord said to Satan,“ Behold, he is in your hand; only spare his life.”So Satan went out from the presence of the Lord and struck Job with loathsome sores from the sole of his foot to the crown of his head.And he took a piece of broken pottery with which to scrape himself while he sat in the ashes.

Hear now, O Joshua the high priest, you and your friends who sit before you, for they are men who are a sign: behold, I will bring my servant the Branch.

Yet now be strong, O Zerubbabel, declares the Lord. Be strong, O Joshua, son of Jehozadak, the high priest. Be strong, all you people of the land, declares the Lord. Work, for I am with you, declares the Lord of hosts,

My sons, do not now be negligent, for the Lord has chosen you to stand in his presence, to minister to him and to be his ministers and make offerings to him.”

“ Behold, I send an angel before you to guard you on the way and to bring you to the place that I have prepared.Pay careful attention to him and obey his voice; do not rebel against him, for he will not pardon your transgression, for my name is in him.

And the angel of the Lord appeared to him in a flame of fire out of the midst of a bush. He looked, and behold, the bush was burning, yet it was not consumed.And Moses said,“ I will turn aside to see this great sight, why the bush is not burned.”When the Lord saw that he turned aside to see, God called to him out of the bush,“ Moses, Moses!” And he said,“ Here I am.”Then he said,“ Do not come near; take your sandals off your feet, for the place on which you are standing is holy ground.”And he said,“ I am the God of your father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.” And Moses hid his face, for he was afraid to look at God.

“ Behold, I send my messenger, and he will prepare the way before me. And the Lord whom you seek will suddenly come to his temple; and the messenger of the covenant in whom you delight, behold, he is coming, says the Lord of hosts.

Therefore he said he would destroy them— had not Moses, his chosen one, stood in the breach before him, to turn away his wrath from destroying them.

But stay awake at all times, praying that you may have strength to escape all these things that are going to take place, and to stand before the Son of Man.”

the angel who has redeemed me from all evil, bless the boys; and in them let my name be carried on, and the name of my fathers Abraham and Isaac; and let them grow into a multitude in the midst of the earth.”

“ Now when forty years had passed, an angel appeared to him in the wilderness of Mount Sinai, in a flame of fire in a bush.When Moses saw it, he was amazed at the sight, and as he drew near to look, there came the voice of the Lord:‘ I am the God of your fathers, the God of Abraham and of Isaac and of Jacob.’ And Moses trembled and did not dare to look.Then the Lord said to him,‘ Take off the sandals from your feet, for the place where you are standing is holy ground.I have surely seen the affliction of my people who are in Egypt, and have heard their groaning, and I have come down to deliver them. And now come, I will send you to Egypt.’“ This Moses, whom they rejected, saying,‘ Who made you a ruler and a judge?’— this man God sent as both ruler and redeemer by the hand of the angel who appeared to him in the bush.This man led them out, performing wonders and signs in Egypt and at the Red Sea and in the wilderness for forty years.This is the Moses who said to the Israelites,‘ God will raise up for you a prophet like me from your brothers.’This is the one who was in the congregation in the wilderness with the angel who spoke to him at Mount Sinai, and with our fathers. He received living oracles to give to us.

“ But the Levitical priests, the sons of Zadok, who kept the charge of my sanctuary when the people of Israel went astray from me, shall come near to me to minister to me. And they shall stand before me to offer me the fat and the blood, declares the Lord God.

Then the men of Beth-shemesh said,“ Who is able to stand before the Lord, this holy God? And to whom shall he go up away from us?”

Then Satan stood against Israel and incited David to number Israel.

And I said to the angel who talked with me,“ What are these?” And he said to me,“ These are the horns that have scattered Judah, Israel, and Jerusalem.”

They shall be ministers in my sanctuary, having oversight at the gates of the temple and ministering in the temple. They shall slaughter the burnt offering and the sacrifice for the people, and they shall stand before the people, to minister to them.

At that time the Lord set apart the tribe of Levi to carry the ark of the covenant of the Lord to stand before the Lord to minister to him and to bless in his name, to this day.

I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and her offspring; he shall bruise your head, and you shall bruise his heel.”

And the Lord answered gracious and comforting words to the angel who talked with me.

Then Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, and Joshua the son of Jehozadak, the high priest, with all the remnant of the people, obeyed the voice of the Lord their God, and the words of Haggai the prophet, as the Lord their God had sent him. And the people feared the Lord.
