即聖神因鑒於吾人之闇弱、而昧於祈禱之道、亦多方相助、以不可思議之歎息、而為吾人代求焉。

况且，我们的软弱有圣灵帮助；我们本不晓得当怎样祷告，只是圣灵亲自用说不出来的叹息替我们祷告。

況且，我們的軟弱有聖靈幫助；我們本不曉得當怎樣禱告，只是聖靈親自用說不出來的歎息替我們禱告。

同樣，我們的軟弱有聖靈幫助。我們本不知道當怎樣禱告，但是聖靈親自用無可言喻的嘆息替我們祈求。

況且，聖靈也照樣扶助我們的軟弱。事實上，我們不知道該禱告什麼、如何禱告，但聖靈卻親自用說不出的嘆息，為我們代求。

且聖神亦如是助我儕之弱、蓋我不知宜如何祈禱、惟聖神以莫可言之太息、代我懇求、

我儕荏弱、聖神助我、我不識所當禱者、聖神以不可言之嘅嘆代我禱也、

且我儕懦弱、聖神助我、蓋我儕不知所當禱者、聖神以不可言之歎息代我禱也、

In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans.

In the same way, the Holy Spirit helps us when we are weak. We don’t know what we should pray for. But the Spirit himself prays for us. He prays through groans too deep for words.

Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words.

And the Holy Spirit helps us in our weakness. For example, we don’t know what God wants us to pray for. But the Holy Spirit prays for us with groanings that cannot be expressed in words.

In the same way the Spirit also helps us in our weakness, because we do not know what to pray for as we should, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with inexpressible groanings.

Now in the same way the Spirit also helps our weakness; for we do not know what to pray for as we should, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words;

Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.

And in like manner the Spirit also helpeth our infirmity: for we know not how to pray as we ought; but the Spirit himself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered;

In the same way the Spirit also joins to help in our weakness, because we do not know what to pray for as we should, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with unspoken groanings.

Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.

In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness, for we do not know how we should pray, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with inexpressible groanings.

蓋言者非爾、實爾父之神、藉爾而言也。

當憑聖神之靈感祈禱不輟儆醒不倦、且為諸聖籲告、

正惟吾人之為兒女、故天主以其聖子之神、注於吾人之心、俾孺慕之情、油然而生、而發為呼親喊父之聲。

願我愛友、黽勉自勵；於爾神聖之信仰上、好自建立；常憑聖神之默感、以祈以禱；庶克長遊於天主聖愛之中、而望我主耶穌基督加以慈惠、賜以常生。

予當求父另遣保慰恩師、永與爾偕；

總之、吾人以基督為介、彼此融洽於同一聖神之中、而得親近聖父矣。

蓋爾所受者、非畏首畏尾之奴隸情緒；爾所受者、乃為呼爺喚父之兒女精神也。

傳語作孽者。無復纏我身。我泣主已聞。我求主已聽。

求而不得者、以爾求之不以其道、蓋爾所求者、徒為縱情恣慾而已

時耶穌憂鬱至極、祈禱彌切、汗如血珠、滴滴入地、

是故吾人之強於信德者、當為弱者包荒、勿以悅己為事。

耶穌應曰：『爾亦不知所求矣！我飲之爵、爾能飲乎？』曰：『能。』

且吾人之所有、非一不能體恤吾人荏弱之大司祭也。彼實身受百般磨練一如吾人第無罪耳。

蓋吾人現處於逆旅之中、實不堪其局促、因是而呻吟焉；非以自求解脫、乃欲被上新服、庶幾有死之身得融化於永生之中。

吾願為若而人誇、至吾本身、實無足誇，有之、其在吾之柔弱無能歟！吾即欲誇、亦不致為狂妄、以所言皆實耳。然吾不欲多言、恐人之視我太高、超乎所見所聞於吾者。且主亦恐我以受此特達之啟示、而驕矜自慢也；故容沙殫加我以肉身上之痛楚、有如芒刺之着體、蓋不欲吾之得意而忘形耳。因是吾雖曾三次求主脫吾於此苦、然主謂吾曰：『吾之聖寵、已足助爾、蓋吾德之彰、即在柔弱中也。』故吾欣然以柔弱為樂、庶幾基督之神德、能常寓吾身。吾為基督之故、凡肉體之柔弱、以及一切侮辱、艱難、窘迫、困苦、皆所甘受。蓋吾之弱、正吾之所以強也。

奄奄存喘息。心魂無寧處。凝思憶疇昔。默念主舉措。望天舉雙手。寫我心中慕。我心如旱田。望主施甘雨。俞允莫遲遲。應憐我情苦。主若掩慈顏。匍匐將誰怙。

主已垂聽兮。謙者之音。必賜慰藉兮。堅固其心。

吾魂盼主。惄如調飢。望眼欲穿。嗣音何遲。

主自九天上。監臨人間世。

耶穌於某地祈禱畢、有徒謂之曰：『請主教我以祈禱之道、如如望之教其徒。』耶穌對曰：『爾祈禱時、應曰：「父乎、願爾名見聖、願爾國來臨、求爾以吾人所需之食糧、逐日見賜、並求寬免吾罪、蓋吾亦寬免人之有負於我者、更求毋令見誘。」』耶穌復曰：『爾中設有一人、午夜赴其友處、曰：「友、請假餅三枚。蓋適有一友、順道過舍、而無以供也。」彼應於內曰：「毋擾！門已扃、且兒輩酣睡吾榻、不便起而供汝。」倘叩之不已；予語爾、彼縱不以友誼之故、而起、亦將為不堪騷擾、勉強起身而畀以所需矣。故予語爾、求則予爾、覓則見獲、叩則必為爾啟；蓋求者無不得、覓者無不獲、而叩者無不見啟也。爾中孰有求餅於其父、而見賜以石、求魚而見賜以蛇、求卵而見賜以蝎者乎？夫以爾等罪人、尚知以嘉惠賜爾兒女；況在爾之天父、有不更以聖神賦予求之者乎！』

正惟其本身亦囿於荏弱故能與愚昧迷妄者同病相憐。

我心如秋草。萎顇不復鮮。遑遑若有失。無意沾盤餐。

身深陷兮泥中。欲自拔兮無從。漂入兮深淵。滅頂兮狂瀾。

嗚呼、我誠可哀之人也！孰能脫我於此致死之肉身乎？

垂憐茲荏弱。康復此殘形。我骨慄慄戰。我心惴惴驚。

是故吾人呻吟不輟、渴望得庇於天上之安宅、有如衣之蔽體；
