然則何如乎、無論或偽或誠、基督是宣、我則樂之、且終樂之、

然則余將若何、凡事不論真偽、有傳基督道者、我樂之、亦終樂之、

然此亦何妨、其意或偽或誠、無論如何、基督究以是而傳矣、我為之而樂、亦必終樂、

要之、無論在吾、或在其他宗徒吾人所傳者同、爾等所信者同也。

而多數宗主之兄弟、因予之被囚、舉相率鼓其勇氣、再接再厲、以大無畏之精神、弘宣天主之道。雖間亦有以嫉妒好勝為心、而宣傳基督者；然出於誠意者、亦不在少。此以仁愛為懷、知予之護道、有所受命也；彼則不本至誠、徒以基督為號召、而自立門戶、藉欲重貽吾憂於囹圄之中。

然則何如斯可？吾固欲以心魂頌禱、亦欲以理智頌禱也。吾固欲以心魂歌詠、亦欲以理智歌詠也。

哀哉爾經生與法利塞人、虛偽之徒也！爾曹向眾緊閉天國、己既不進、又阻人之進。

諸徒當時未達斯語、以其心尚有所蒙、故未解言旨、然亦不敢以問。

然則吾人視他族果無所勝乎？實無所勝也！蓋無論猶太人與希臘人、其為罪人則一也。此為吾儕向所主張者；

既謀孤寡之產、故長祈禱之詞。是皆當受嚴刑峻罰者也。』

雖然、吾人既不隸於法而隸於恩矣、將恃恩而重蹈罪孽乎？無是理也！

然則何如？豈謂祭肉足以浼我乎？抑吾目中尚有偶像其物乎？非也！
