正惟吾人之為兒女、故天主以其聖子之神、注於吾人之心、俾孺慕之情、油然而生、而發為呼親喊父之聲。

然此乃所以鍛鍊爾之信德、而於耶穌基督顯現之日、玉成爾之光榮及天爵耳。夫黃金乃必朽之物、尚且以火煉之；而信德固貴於黃金也。夫耶穌基督、爾等未之見也而已衷心慕之；雖無所睹而能毅然信之。故爾等歡樂難言、寵榮被身、信德既熟、心靈蒙休。

當憑聖神之靈感祈禱不輟儆醒不倦、且為諸聖籲告、亦為予祈求辯才無礙、俾能以大無畏精神、闡發福音之蘊奧。

吾茲遣吾之愛兒、主之忠僕、蒂茂德適爾、以便為爾面授我因基督耶穌所取之途徑；蓋我在各處教會所教者、莫非同然也。
