Aaron’s sons Nadab and Abihu took their censers, put fire in them and added incense; and they offered unauthorized fire before the Lord, contrary to his command.

Nadab and Abihu were two of Aaron’s sons. They got their shallow cups for burning incense. They put fire in them. They added incense to it. They made an offering to the Lord by using fire that wasn’t allowed. They did it against his command.

Now Nadab and Abihu, the sons of Aaron, each took his censer and put fire in it and laid incense on it and offered unauthorized fire before the Lord, which he had not commanded them.

Aaron’s sons Nadab and Abihu put coals of fire in their incense burners and sprinkled incense over them. In this way, they disobeyed the Lord by burning before him the wrong kind of fire, different than he had commanded.

拿答亞庇戶燃不聖之火、奉事耶和華而死。

必取鼎、盛我壇上爇炭、香屑一掬、攜入簾中、

耶和華諭摩西曰、爾攜亞倫、拿答、亞庇戶、同以色列長老七十人、登山遙立拜我。

我所諭者、爾必遵行、毋增毋減。

摩西告亞倫曰、耶和華怒甚、其災已降、爾當執鼎、取壇上之火炷香、急至眾會、代為贖罪。

以色列族中、簡爾兄亞倫、以為祭司、爰及其子拿答、亞庇戶、以利亞撒、以大馬奉事於我、

故當守我禮儀、不為污所玷、恐負罪而死、我耶和華使之成聖。

容我聲聞於上、有若馨香、視我舉手以拜、有若夕祭兮。

摩西、亞倫、拿答、亞庇戶、與以色列長老七十人、咸登山、

亞倫二子、造次詣耶和華前而死、

亞倫娶亞米拿達女、拿順妹、以利沙巴、生拿荅、亞庇戶、以利亞撒、以大馬。

火自耶和華出、焚壇上之燔祭、與脂、民見之、懽呼俯伏。

國強心驕、以召禍患、干上帝耶和華命、入殿焚香於壇。祭司長亞薩哩亞、與耶和華祭司八十人、素稱傑士、從王入殿、諫曰、凡焚香於耶和華前者、惟亞倫子孫為祭司則可、非爾所得與焉。今爾干大典、入聖所、上帝耶和華必不加榮、爾宜速退。王於殿間壇側、祭司之前、執鼎焚香、聞諫而怒、顙忽患癩。祭司長亞薩哩亞、與眾祭司、望見王顙患癩、遂驅之出、王亦速出、知為耶和華所擊。

灰盤、鍫、盂、鈎、鼎、諸器、悉以銅作。

耶和華又諭曰、必取芬芳之品、即嗱噠、［口氏］嗘嘞、嚇［口庇］嗱、和乳香之清者、權之必相等。以調劑之法、加鹽製香、潔清成聖。此香至聖、擣之必細、置於會幕法匱前、在彼我必涖臨。

必以皂莢木作壇、焚香其上、形製維方、長廣俱一尺、高二尺、其角亦以木為壇。上與四旁及角、均以兼金飾之、四周之緣、必以金。兩旁緣下、必作金環二、貫杠以舁壇。用皂莢木作杠、飾之以金、於法匱簾外、施恩所前、我涖臨之處、必置其壇。清晨修燈時、亞倫必焚香於其上、薄暮燃燈時、亦必焚香於其上、炷香我耶和華前、歷代勿替。於此壇上、毋燔犧牲、毋獻禮物、毋行灌奠、香不以法製者亦勿焚。

我之諭言、乃爾上帝耶和華所命者、爾當遵從、不可增、亦不可減。

循祭司例掣籤、得入主殿焚香、焚香之際、眾民在外祈禱、主之使者現、立香臺右、

亞倫首生拿答、次生亞庇戶、以利亞撒以大馬、亞倫諸子、咸受香膏、任為祭司、拿答亞庇戶在西乃野、燃不聖之火、以獻耶和華、故死於其前、二人無子、以利亞撒、以大馬與父亞倫同為祭司。○

香膏芬芳之品、以為聖事、悉遵我命而作。○

彼事巴力、築崇丘以奉之、焚子女以獻之、我所嚴禁、我所痛疾。

又一天使執金鼎、侍祭壇側、授香無算、以香與聖徒祈禱、獻於位前之金壇、香篆與聖徒祈禱、自天使手、升於上帝前、天使以鼎盛壇火傾地、眾聲大作、雷轟電閃地震、○

何為於所居埃及之地、造作偶像、焚香奉事他上帝、干我震怒、為我棄絶、為列邦人咒詛、凌侮、皆由自取。

在便欣嫩谷、築陀法崇丘、焚獻子女、干我所禁、我深痛疾。

時值耶羅破暗侍於壇側、方欲焚香、有上帝之僕、奉耶和華命、自猶大至伯特利、指壇而呼曰、嗟乎此壇、耶和華有命云、大闢之家必挺生一子、名約西亞、取崇邱之祭司、焚香於是壇者、獻於壇上、亦取死者之骨、焚於此壇。

服事崇拜他上帝、或日月、或天象、為我所禁者。

有炷香金鼎、嵌金約匱、內藏嗎嗱、盛以金壺、與亞倫萌芽杖、約碑二、

焚馨香於上、遵耶和華命。

灰盤、鍫盂、鈎、鼎諸器、悉以銅作。

乃謂哥喇曰、爾與爾眾、至於詰朝、可偕亞倫、至耶和華前。二百五十人各執鼎、炷香於中、爾及亞倫亦各執鼎、至耶和華前。遂各執鼎、燃火炷香、與摩西亞倫立於會幕前。

哥喇及其黨宜執鼎、明晨燃火置香、奉耶和華、而耶和華所簡者、即以為聖、汝利未族妄自矜大。

在便欣嫩谷、築巴力崇邱、焚子女於火、以奉魔洛、此我所嚴禁、所痛疾、彼所作不端、使猶大人陷於罪戾。

居埃及、八羅之猶大人、男女眾多、咸至耶利米所、中有男子、知婦女焚香服事他上帝、告耶利米曰、

諸婦女曰、昔我焚香、灌奠、為餅、以事天后、豈非我夫所許乎。耶利米告諸男女、庶民、曰、爾列祖王公、庶民、爰及爾躬、焚香於猶大諸邑、耶路撒冷逵衢、耶和華鑒察、憶念之、

亦製聖膏、與潔香、用法和之、調劑維宜。
