Jesus replied,“ If God were your Father, you would love me, for I have come from God and am now here. I have not come on my own initiative, but he sent me.

Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father is in me? The words that I say to you, I do not speak on my own initiative, but the Father residing in me performs his miraculous deeds.

For I have not spoken from my own authority, but the Father himself who sent me has commanded me what I should say and what I should speak.

Righteous Father, even if the world does not know you, I know you, and these men know that you sent me.

For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world should be saved through him.

The one who hates me hates my Father too.If I had not performed among them the miraculous deeds that no one else did, they would not be guilty of sin. But now they have seen the deeds and have hated both me and my Father.

Let anyone who has no love for the Lord be accursed. Our Lord, come!

For the Father himself loves you, because you have loved me and have believed that I came from God.I came from the Father and entered into the world, but in turn, I am leaving the world and going back to the Father.”

Now the Word became flesh and took up residence among us. We saw his glory– the glory of the one and only, full of grace and truth, who came from the Father.

Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ has been fathered by God, and everyone who loves the father loves the child fathered by him.By this we know that we love the children of God: whenever we love God and obey his commandments.

I have come in my Father’s name, and you do not accept me. If someone else comes in his own name, you will accept him.

Then Jesus, while teaching in the temple courts, cried out,“ You both know me and know where I come from! And I have not come on my own initiative, but the one who sent me is true. You do not know him,but I know him, because I have come from him and he sent me.”

“ A son naturally honors his father and a slave respects his master. If I am your father, where is my honor? If I am your master, where is my respect? The LORD who rules over all asks you this, you priests who make light of my name! But you reply,‘ How have we made light of your name?’

so that all people will honor the Son just as they honor the Father. The one who does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent him.

Then the angel showed me the river of the water of life– water as clear as crystal– pouring out from the throne of God and of the Lamb,

By this the love of God is revealed in us: that God has sent his one and only Son into the world so that we may live through him.In this is love: not that we have loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the atoning sacrifice for our sins.
