遠遠地看見一棵無花果樹，樹上有葉子，就往那裏去，或者在樹上可以找着甚麼。到了樹下，竟找不着甚麼，不過有葉子，因為不是收無花果的時候。

他們的葡萄樹是所多瑪的葡萄樹，蛾摩拉田園所生的；他們的葡萄是毒葡萄，全掛都是苦的。他們的酒是大蛇的毒氣，是虺蛇殘害的惡毒。

有誰當兵自備糧餉呢？有誰栽葡萄園不吃園裏的果子呢？有誰牧養牛羊不吃牛羊的奶呢？

天哪，要聽！地啊，側耳而聽！因為耶和華說：我養育兒女，將他們養大，他們竟悖逆我。牛認識主人，驢認識主人的槽，以色列卻不認識；我的民卻不留意。嗐！犯罪的國民，擔着罪孽的百姓；行惡的種類，敗壞的兒女！他們離棄耶和華，藐視以色列的聖者，與他生疏，往後退步。

看見路旁有一棵無花果樹，就走到跟前，在樹上找不着甚麼，不過有葉子，就對樹說：「從今以後，你永不結果子。」那無花果樹就立刻枯乾了。

到了時候，打發一個僕人到園戶那裏，要從園戶收葡萄園的果子。

人在何事上得以知道我和你的百姓在你眼前蒙恩呢？豈不是因你與我們同去、使我和你的百姓與地上的萬民有分別嗎？」

萬軍之耶和華的葡萄園就是以色列家；他所喜愛的樹就是猶大人。他指望的是公平，誰知倒有暴虐；指望的是公義，誰知倒有冤聲。

你的裝扮為何有紅色？你的衣服為何像踹酒醡的呢？我獨自踹酒醡；眾民中無一人與我同在。我發怒將他們踹下，發烈怒將他們踐踏。他們的血濺在我衣服上，並且污染了我一切的衣裳。

到了時候，打發一個僕人到園戶那裏去，叫他們把園中當納的果子交給他；園戶竟打了他，叫他空手回去。又打發一個僕人去，他們也打了他，並且凌辱他，叫他空手回去。又打發第三個僕人去，他們也打傷了他，把他推出去了。園主說：『我怎麼辦呢？我要打發我的愛子去，或者他們尊敬他。』不料，園戶看見他，就彼此商量說：『這是承受產業的，我們殺他吧，使產業歸於我們！』於是把他推出葡萄園外，殺了。這樣，葡萄園的主人要怎樣處治他們呢？他要來除滅這些園戶，將葡萄園轉給別人。」聽見的人說：「這是萬不可的！」耶穌看着他們說：「經上記着：匠人所棄的石頭已作了房角的頭塊石頭。這是甚麼意思呢？凡掉在那石頭上的，必要跌碎；那石頭掉在誰的身上，就要把誰砸得稀爛。」

那些日子，我在猶大見有人在安息日醡酒，搬運禾捆馱在驢上，又把酒、葡萄、無花果，和各樣的擔子在安息日擔入耶路撒冷，我就在他們賣食物的那日警戒他們。

可歎，忠信的城變為妓女！從前充滿了公平，公義居在其中，現今卻有兇手居住。你的銀子變為渣滓；你的酒用水攙對。你的官長居心悖逆，與盜賊作伴，各都喜愛賄賂，追求贓私。他們不為孤兒伸冤；寡婦的案件也不得呈到他們面前。

至高者將地業賜給列邦，將世人分開，就照以色列人的數目立定萬民的疆界。耶和華的分本是他的百姓；他的產業本是雅各。

僅存錫安城，好像葡萄園的草棚，瓜田的茅屋，被圍困的城邑。

又有一位天使從祭壇中出來，是有權柄管火的，向拿着快鐮刀的大聲喊着說：「伸出快鐮刀來，收取地上葡萄樹的果子，因為葡萄熟透了！」那天使就把鐮刀扔在地上，收取了地上的葡萄，丟在神忿怒的大酒醡中。那酒醡踹在城外，就有血從酒醡裏流出來，高到馬的嚼環，遠有六百里。

後來，參孫在梭烈谷喜愛一個婦人，名叫大利拉。

神啊，你在古時，我們列祖的日子所行的事，我們親耳聽見了；我們的列祖也給我們述說過。你曾用手趕出外邦人，卻栽培了我們列祖；你苦待列邦，卻叫我們列祖發達。因為他們不是靠自己的刀劍得地土，也不是靠自己的膀臂得勝，乃是靠你的右手、你的膀臂，和你臉上的亮光，因為你喜悅他們。

我從高峯看他，從小山望他；這是獨居的民，不列在萬民中。

於是用比喻說：「一個人有一棵無花果樹栽在葡萄園裏。他來到樹前找果子，卻找不着。就對管園的說：『看哪，我這三年來到這無花果樹前找果子，竟找不着。把它砍了吧，何必白佔地土呢！』

以色列是茂盛的葡萄樹，結果繁多。果子越多，就越增添祭壇；地土越肥美，就越造美麗的柱像。

愚昧無知的民哪，你們這樣報答耶和華嗎？他豈不是你的父、將你買來的嗎？他是製造你、建立你的。

他們是以色列人；那兒子的名分、榮耀、諸約、律法、禮儀、應許都是他們的。

收果子的時候近了，就打發僕人到園戶那裏去收果子。

你這羊羣的高臺、錫安城的山哪，從前的權柄－就是耶路撒冷民的國權－必歸與你。
