Then He said,“ Do not lay a hand on the boy or do anything to him. For now I know that you fear God, since you have not withheld your only son from Me.”

天使说：“你不可在这童子身上下手。一点不可害他！现在我知道你是敬畏神的了；因为你没有将你的儿子，就是你独生的儿子，留下不给我。”

天使说：“不可在这孩子身上下手！一点也不可伤害他！现在我知道你是敬畏上帝的人了，因为你没有把你的儿子，就是你的独子，留下不给我。”

天使说：“不可在这孩子身上下手！一点也不可伤害他！现在我知道你是敬畏神的人了，因为你没有把你的儿子，就是你的独子，留下不给我。”

天使说：“不要动孩子，不可伤害他！现在我知道你敬畏上帝，因为你不惜献上你的儿子——你的独生子。”

天使说：“不可在这孩子身上下手，一点也不可害他；现在我知道你是敬畏神的了，因为你没有留下你的儿子、你的独生子不给我。”

使者说：“不可向这少年下手，什么也不可对他做！现在我知道你是敬畏神的，因为你没有把你的儿子，就是你的独生子，留下不给我。”

天使說：「你不可在這童子身上下手。一點不可害他！現在我知道你是敬畏神的了；因為你沒有將你的兒子，就是你獨生的兒子，留下不給我。」

天使說：“不可在這孩子身上下手，一點也不可害他；現在我知道你是敬畏神的了，因為你沒有留下你的兒子、你的獨生子不給我。”

天使說：『不可伸手宰兒童；害他的事、你一點也不可作；如今我知道你是敬畏上帝的；因為你沒有留下你兒子、你獨生的兒子、而不給我。』

使者說：「不可向這少年下手，什麼也不可對他做！現在我知道你是敬畏神的，因為你沒有把你的兒子，就是你的獨生子，留下不給我。」

曰、爾於孺子、勿著手、勿加傷、蓋爾於我、不惜獨生之子、我知爾寅畏上帝矣、

曰、爾子莫擊莫傷、我知爾畏我、蓋爾嫡子、惟此一人、猶且不惜、以獻於我。

今我知爾實畏天主矣、

“ Do not lay a hand on the boy,” he said.“ Do not do anything to him. Now I know that you fear God, because you have not withheld from me your son, your only son.”

“ Do not lay a hand on the boy,” he said.“ Do not harm him. Now I know that you would do anything for God. You have not held back from me your son, your only son.”

He said,“ Do not lay your hand on the boy or do anything to him, for now I know that you fear God, seeing you have not withheld your son, your only son, from me.”

“ Don’t lay a hand on the boy!” the angel said.“ Do not hurt him in any way, for now I know that you truly fear God. You have not withheld from me even your son, your only son.”

Then he said,“ Do not lay a hand on the boy or do anything to him. For now I know that you fear God, since you have not withheld your only son from me.”

He said,“ Do not reach out your hand against the boy, and do not do anything to him; for now I know that you fear God, since you have not withheld your son, your only son, from Me.”

And He said,“ Do not lay your hand on the lad, or do anything to him; for now I know that you fear God, since you have not withheld your son, your only son, from Me.”

And he said, Lay not thy hand upon the lad, neither do thou anything unto him; for now I know that thou fearest God, seeing thou hast not withheld thy son, thine only son, from me.

And he said, Lay not thine hand upon the lad, neither do thou any thing unto him: for now I know that thou fearest God, seeing thou hast not withheld thy son, thine only[ son] from me.

“ Do not harm the boy!” the angel said.“ Do not do anything to him, for now I know that you fear God because you did not withhold your son, your only son, from me.”

He said,“ Don’t lay your hand on the boy or do anything to him. For now I know that you fear God, since you have not withheld your son, your only son, from me.”

Wasn’t Abraham our father justified by works when he offered Isaac his son on the altar?You see that faith was active together with his works, and by works, faith was perfected.

Then Samuel said: Does the Lord take pleasure in burnt offerings and sacrifices as much as in obeying the Lord? Look: to obey is better than sacrifice, to pay attention is better than the fat of rams.

But someone will say,“ You have faith, and I have works.” Show me your faith without works, and I will show you faith from my works.

because Abraham listened to My voice and kept My mandate, My commands, My statutes, and My instructions.”

When all has been heard, the conclusion of the matter is: fear God and keep His commands, because this is for all humanity.

He did not even spare His own Son but offered Him up for us all; how will He not also with Him grant us everything?

The Lord values those who fear Him, those who put their hope in His faithful love.

The secret counsel of the Lord is for those who fear Him, and He reveals His covenant to them.

They have built high places to Baal on which to burn their children in the fire as burnt offerings to Baal, something I have never commanded or mentioned; I never entertained the thought.

But for you who fear My name, the sun of righteousness will rise with healing in its wings, and you will go out and playfully jump like calves from the stall.

But God proves His own love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us!

“ For God loved the world in this way: He gave His One and Only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life.

So the church throughout all Judea, Galilee, and Samaria had peace, being built up and walking in the fear of the Lord and in the encouragement of the Holy Spirit, and it increased in numbers.

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge; fools despise wisdom and discipline.

No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to humanity. God is faithful, and He will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation He will also provide a way of escape so that you are able to bear it.

For if the eagerness is there, it is acceptable according to what one has, not according to what he does not have.

And everyone who has left houses, brothers or sisters, father or mother, children, or fields because of My name will receive 100 times more and will inherit eternal life.

The person who loves father or mother more than Me is not worthy of Me; the person who loves son or daughter more than Me is not worthy of Me.And whoever doesn’t take up his cross and follow Me is not worthy of Me.

What should I bring before the Lord when I come to bow before God on high? Should I come before Him with burnt offerings, with year-old calves?Would the Lord be pleased with thousands of rams or with ten thousand streams of oil? Should I give my firstborn for my transgression, the child of my body for my own sin?Mankind, He has told you what is good and what it is the Lord requires of you: to act justly, to love faithfulness, and to walk humbly with your God.

Who is the man who fears the Lord? He will show him the way he should choose.

In the same way, let your light shine before men, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father in heaven.

Then Jesus said to His disciples,“ If anyone wants to come with Me, he must deny himself, take up his cross, and follow Me.

“ I will make an everlasting covenant with them: I will never turn away from doing good to them, and I will put fear of Me in their hearts so they will never again turn away from Me.

He will rescue you from six calamities; no harm will touch you in seven.

He said to mankind,“ The fear of the Lord is this: wisdom. And to turn from evil is understanding.”

Above all, fear the Lord and worship Him faithfully with all your heart; consider the great things He has done for you.However, if you continue to do what is evil, both you and your king will be swept away.”

On the third day Joseph said to them,“ I fear God— do this and you will live.

“ Take your son,” He said,“ your only son Isaac, whom you love, go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains I will tell you about.”

Serve the Lord with reverential awe and rejoice with trembling.

For the Lord watches over the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked leads to ruin.

The governors who preceded me had heavily burdened the people, taking food and wine from them, as well as a pound of silver. Their subordinates also oppressed the people, but I didn’t do this, because of the fear of God.

Moses responded to the people,“ Don’t be afraid, for God has come to test you, so that you will fear Him and will not sin.”

Abraham replied,“ I thought,‘ There is absolutely no fear of God in this place. They will kill me because of my wife.’

A voice came from the throne, saying: Praise our God, all His slaves, who fear Him, both small and great!

He considered God to be able even to raise someone from the dead, and as an illustration, he received him back.

Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us hold on to grace. By it, we may serve God acceptably, with reverence and awe,

Although a sinner commits crime a hundred times and prolongs his life, yet I also know that it will go well with God-fearing people, for they are reverent before Him.However, it will not go well with the wicked, and they will not lengthen their days like a shadow, for they are not reverent before God.

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom; all who follow His instructions have good insight. His praise endures forever.Hallelujah! Happy is the man who fears the Lord, taking great delight in His commands.
