When he tore Israel away from the house of David, they made Jeroboam son of Nebat their king. Jeroboam enticed Israel away from following the Lord and caused them to commit a great sin.

故復諭之曰、因爾行是、不守我約、及我所諭之禮儀、我必奪爾國祚、以予爾僕。

告之曰、爾必取十方、蓋以色列族上帝耶和華曰、我將分裂以色列國、奪於所羅門手、畀爾十支派、

籌思既竟、作二金犢、告民曰、詣耶路撒冷甚難、昔導以色列族出自埃及之上帝即此。置一犢於伯特利、一犢於但。此事陷人於罪、民往至但、崇拜一犢。

蓋耶羅破暗已干罪戾、令以色列族陷罪、故耶和華必棄以色列族。

王不順輿情、乃耶和華使之、以應所命示羅人亞希雅、告尼八子耶羅破暗之言。以色列族眾知王不聽、則告王曰、我與耶西之子大闢何與、我族當各歸故土、大闢之家爾自治之。於是以色列族各歸故土。惟居猶大眾邑者、尚歸羅波暗統轄。時羅波暗王、遣理貢物之哈多蘭、至以色列族、以色列族石擊之、斃其命、王疾登車、遁於耶路撒冷。以色列族背大闢之家、以迄於今、尚未臣服。

耶羅破暗擅立祭司、在諸崇坵、奉事魑魅、及所作犢像。

予罪孔多、願耶和華特加赦宥、彰爾仁慈兮、

瓜分大闢之國、以賜於爾、我僕大闢守我誡命、誠心從我、行善於我前、爾不則效、

耶和華將使亞述王降災於汝、及爾國家、自以法蓮叛猶大國、迄今未有若是之甚、

如是二子、使人生其厭惡、不獻祭於耶和華、罪莫大焉。

以色列族背大闢之家、以迄於今、尚未臣服。以色列族眾知耶羅破暗已歸、則遣人招集會眾、立之為王、轄以色列族、除猶大支派以外。從大闢家者、絶無一人。

耶穌曰、非自上賜、爾則無權治我、故賣我者罪益大、

使其邑強盛、立武士長、廣貯食物油酒、

亞庇米力呼亞伯拉罕曰、爾果何為、我曷嘗獲罪爾、爾乃陷我於重罪、爰及人民、爾之相待、甚非所宜。

謂亞倫曰、斯民何負於爾、使陷重罪。

我所風聞非善、爾使耶和華之民犯罪。
