且所語所宣、不在智之婉言、惟在神與能之闡明、

吾不以私智婉言、惟以聖神之良能傳道、

且我講論宣傳、非以人智之婉言而辯、乃以聖神之大能而證、

My message and my preaching were not with wise and persuasive words, but with a demonstration of the Spirit’s power,

I didn’t preach my message with clever and compelling words. Instead, my preaching showed the Holy Spirit’s power.

蓋天主之國、在德不在言也、然則爾果何擇：欲予佩教方而來乎？抑懷慈愛與和氣而來乎？

蓋予所受於基督之使命、非為付洗、乃為傳道。而巧言妙語、未嘗用之、誠恐基督之十字架轉失效能。

具徵吾儕之授爾以福音、不僅以言、且以神力與聖神、實事求是、廓然不疑。吾儕向在爾中服務、爾等固知其為何如人也。

惟假吾之手而已。或以言語、或以行為、或以聖蹟、異能、何一非聖神之妙工乎？吾傳基督福音、足跡已遍耶路撒冷及其周圍之地、直達伊利利亞。

且吾人論述天主之事、不假人智之術語、而悉循聖神之默啟、亦欲以心明心、以神會神而已。

因此、曩者予在爾處講述天主之妙證、亦未嘗用高言奇智；

蓋吾儕所宣揚吾主耶穌基督之神德及其重臨、非據玄思妙構之稗乘、乃憑親炙目睹之威靈也。

蓋斯輩大言不慚、提倡邪淫；凡初脫惡習者、鮮不受惑；

彼等且逆知其所預言諸事、非為本身、乃為爾等。凡此奧義、即眾天神亦渴欲一窺、而爾曹則因布道者憑天主所遣聖神之靈感、而得諦聽矣

蓋天主玄謨、吾已昭示於爾、曾無畏縮。

斯輩不事吾主基督、惟事口腹、以巧言媚語、誘惑庸眾。

吾豈欲迎合世俗乎？抑求悅於天主乎？吾又焉能閹然而媚世乎？閹然媚世、則不得為基督之僕矣。

予作是語、庶幾爾等不致為人之巧言妙語所惑、

彼既來、必有以令世知罪、知義、知判。知罪者、以若輩不予信也；知義者、以予歸父而爾不復睹予也；知判者、以斯世之君已受判也。尚有多端、欲與爾言、惟此時爾尚不堪受之。一俟真諦之神來臨、必能循循誘爾洞達微妙。彼所言亦非由己；有所聞、乃言之；當示爾以將臨之事、且必歸榮於予也。何則、彼將受之於予、而授之於爾也。蓋父之所有、亦即予之所有、故曰：『彼將受於予而授於爾。』

亞基帕語葆樂曰：『吾之不被汝勸化、而為基督之徒也幾希！』
