1Lord, the king finds joy in Your strength.

How greatly he rejoices in Your victory! Ps 28:7-8; 59:16-17

2You have given him his heart’s desire Ps 20:4; 145:19

and have not denied the request of his lips. Ps 20:5; 1Pt 3:12Selah

3For You meet him with rich blessings;

You place a crown of pure gold on his head. 2Sm 12:30; 1Ch 20:2

4He asked You for life, and You gave it to him —

length of days forever and ever. Ps 61:6; 91:16

5His glory is great through Your victory;

You confer majesty and splendor on him. Ps 8:5; 96:6

6You give him blessings forever; 1Ch 17:27

You cheer him with joy in Your presence. Ps 16:11

7For the king relies on the Lord;

through the faithful love of the Most High

he is not shaken. Ps 10:6; 16:8

8Your hand will capture all your enemies;

your right hand will seize those who hate you. Ex 15:6; Is 10:10

9You will make them burn

like a fiery furnace when you appear;

the Lord will engulf them in His wrath,

and fire will devour them. Ps 50:3; 97:3; Mal 4:1

10You will wipe their descendants from the earth

and their offspring from the human race. 1Kg 13:34; Ps 37:28; Is 14:20

11Though they intend to harm Lit they stretch out evil against you

and devise a wicked plan, they will not prevail. Ps 2:1-3; 7:15-16; 10:2

12Instead, you will put them to flight

when you aim your bow Lit aim with your bowstrings at their faces. Ps 7:12

13Be exalted, Lord, in Your strength;

we will sing and praise Your might. Ps 59:16; 81:1
