He said to him,“ Run and tell this young man: Jerusalem will be inhabited without walls because of the number of people and animals in it.”

對他說：『你跑去告訴那邊那青年人，說：『耶路撒冷準會有人居住，像無城牆的鄉村一樣，因為其中有人和牲口很多。

對他說：「你跑去告訴那少年人說：『耶路撒冷必像無城牆的村鎮那樣住人，因為其中的人和牲畜眾多。

謂之曰、爾其疾趨、語此少者曰、耶路撒冷將有居民、因人畜繁多、如無垣之村、

告之曰、疾趨以前、告此少者、曰、耶路撒冷居民、牲畜繁多、必恢廓其城、至於邑郊。

告之曰、爾趨告此少者曰、耶路撒冷居民及牲畜繁多、必無城郭、無異鄉村、

and said to him:“ Run, tell that young man,‘ Jerusalem will be a city without walls because of the great number of people and animals in it.

He said to him,“ Run! Tell that young man Zechariah,‘ Jerusalem will be a city that does not have any walls around it. It will have huge numbers of people and animals in it.

and said to him,“ Run, say to that young man,‘ Jerusalem shall be inhabited as villages without walls, because of the multitude of people and livestock in it.

The other angel said,“ Hurry, and say to that young man,‘ Jerusalem will someday be so full of people and livestock that there won’t be room enough for everyone! Many will live outside the city walls.

And he said to him,“ Run, speak to that young man there, saying,‘ Jerusalem will be inhabited as open country because of the multitude of people and cattle within it.

who said to him,“ Run, speak to this young man, saying:‘ Jerusalem shall be inhabited as towns without walls, because of the multitude of men and livestock in it.

and said unto him, Run, speak to this young man, saying, Jerusalem shall be inhabited as villages without walls, by reason of the multitude of men and cattle therein.

He said to him,“ Run and tell this young man: Jerusalem will be inhabited without walls because of the number of people and livestock in it.”

And said unto him, Run, speak to this young man, saying, Jerusalem shall be inhabited[ as] towns without walls for the multitude of men and cattle therein:

and said to him,“ Hurry, speak to this young man as follows:‘ Jerusalem will no longer be enclosed by walls because of the multitude of people and animals there.

and said to him,“ Run, speak to this young man, saying,‘ Jerusalem will be inhabited as villages without walls, because of the multitude of men and livestock in it.

“ Proclaim further: This is what the LORD of Armies says: My cities will again overflow with prosperity; the LORD will once more comfort Zion and again choose Jerusalem.”

You will say,“ I will advance against a land of open villages; I will come against a tranquil people who are living securely, all of them living without walls and without bars or gates”—

Yet as you listen, the children that you have been deprived of will say,‘ This place is too small for me; make room for me so that I may settle.’

On that day I will make the leaders of Judah like a firepot in a woodpile, like a flaming torch among sheaves; they will consume all the peoples around them on the right and the left, while Jerusalem continues to be inhabited on its site, in Jerusalem.

I will fill you with people, with the whole house of Israel in its entirety. The cities will be inhabited and the ruins rebuilt.I will fill you with people and animals, and they will increase and be fruitful. I will make you inhabited as you once were and make you better off than you were before. Then you will know that I am the LORD.

The LORD of Armies says this:“ Old men and women will again sit along the streets of Jerusalem, each with a staff in hand because of advanced age.The streets of the city will be filled with boys and girls playing in them.”

“ Look, the days are coming”— this is the LORD’s declaration—“ when I will sow the house of Israel and the house of Judah with the seed of people and the seed of animals.

A day will come for rebuilding your walls; on that day your boundary will be extended.

All the land from Geba to Rimmon south of Jerusalem will be changed into a plain. But Jerusalem will be raised up and will remain on its site from the Benjamin Gate to the place of the First Gate, to the Corner Gate, and from the Tower of Hananel to the royal winepresses.People will live there, and never again will there be a curse of complete destruction. So Jerusalem will dwell in security.

who confirms the message of his servant and fulfills the counsel of his messengers; who says to Jerusalem,“ She will be inhabited,” and to the cities of Judah,“ They will be rebuilt,” and I will restore her ruins;

Even as the stars of heaven cannot be counted, and the sand of the sea cannot be measured, so too I will make innumerable the descendants of my servant David and the Levites who minister to me.”

“ This is what the LORD says: In this place, which you say is a ruin, without people or animals— that is, in Judah’s cities and Jerusalem’s streets that are a desolation without people, without inhabitants, and without animals— there will be heard againa sound of joy and gladness, the voice of the groom and the bride, and the voice of those saying, Give thanks to the LORD of Armies, for the LORD is good; his faithful love endures forever as they bring thanksgiving sacrifices to the temple of the LORD. For I will restore the fortunes of the land as in former times, says the LORD.“ This is what the LORD of Armies says: In this desolate place— without people or animals — and in all its cities there will once more be a grazing land where shepherds may rest flocks.The flocks will again pass under the hands of the one who counts them in the cities of the hill country, the cities of the Judean foothills, the cities of the Negev, the land of Benjamin— the areas around Jerusalem and in Judah’s cities, says the LORD.

Look at Zion, the city of our festival times. Your eyes will see Jerusalem, a peaceful pasture, a tent that does not wander; its tent pegs will not be pulled up nor will any of its cords be loosened.

This is what the LORD says: I will certainly restore the fortunes of Jacob’s tents and show compassion on his dwellings. Every city will be rebuilt on its mound; every citadel will stand on its proper site.Thanksgiving will come out of them, a sound of rejoicing. I will multiply them, and they will not decrease; I will honor them, and they will not be insignificant.

“ Look, the days are coming”— the LORD’s declaration—“ when the city from the Tower of Hananel to the Corner Gate will be rebuilt for the LORD.A measuring line will once again stretch out straight to the hill of Gareb and then turn toward Goah.The whole valley— the corpses, the ashes, and all the fields as far as the Kidron Valley to the corner of the Horse Gate to the east— will be holy to the LORD. It will never be uprooted or demolished again.”

Judah and all its cities will live in it together— also farmers and those who move with the flocks—

But I protested,“ Oh no, Lord GOD! Look, I don’t know how to speak since I am only a youth.”

Don’t let anyone despise your youth, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, and in purity.

God gave these four young men knowledge and understanding in every kind of literature and wisdom. Daniel also understood visions and dreams of every kind.
