Ask the Lord for rain in the springtime; it is the Lord who sends the thunderstorms. He gives showers of rain to all people, and plants of the field to everyone.

People of Judah, ask the Lord to send rain in the spring. He is the one who sends the thunderstorms. He sends down showers of rain on all people. He gives everyone the plants in the fields.

Ask rain from the Lord in the season of the spring rain, from the Lord who makes the storm clouds, and he will give them showers of rain, to everyone the vegetation in the field.

Ask the Lord for rain in the spring, for he makes the storm clouds. And he will send showers of rain so every field becomes a lush pasture.

Ask the LORD for rain in the season of spring rain. The LORD makes the rain clouds, and he will give them showers of rain and crops in the field for everyone.

Therefore be patient, brothers and sisters, until the coming of the Lord. The farmer waits for the precious produce of the soil, being patient about it, until it gets the early and late rains.

For I will pour water on the thirsty land And streams on the dry ground; I will pour out My Spirit on your offspring, And My blessing on your descendants;

Therefore, confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another so that you may be healed. When He utters His voice, there is a roar of waters in the heavens, And He makes the clouds ascend from the end of the earth; He makes lightning for the rain, And brings out the wind from His storehouses.

I will make them and the places around My hill a blessing. And I will make showers fall in their season; they will be showers of blessing.

Are there any among the idols of the nations who give rain? Or can the heavens grant showers? Is it not You, Lord our God? Therefore we wait for You, For You are the one who has done all these things.

Then He will give you rain for your seed which you will sow in the ground, and bread from the yield of the ground, and it will be rich and plentiful; on that day your livestock will graze in a wide pasture.

For He draws up the drops of water; They distill rain from its celestial stream,Which clouds pour down; They drip upon mankind abundantly.Can anyone understand the spreading of the clouds, The thundering of His pavilion?Behold, He spreads His lightning about Him, And He covers the depths of the sea.For by them He judges peoples; He gives food in abundance.

Now Elijah the Tishbite, who was of the settlers of Gilead, said to Ahab,“ As the Lord, the God of Israel lives, before whom I stand, there shall certainly be neither dew nor rain during these years, except by my word.”

He waters the mountains from His upper chambers; The earth is satisfied with the fruit of His works.

Sow for yourselves, with a view to righteousness; Harvest in accordance with kindness. Break up your uncultivated ground, For it is time to seek the Lord Until He comes and rains righteousness on you.

Now Elijah said to Ahab,“ Go up, eat and drink; for there is the sound of the roar of a heavy shower.”So Ahab went up to eat and drink. But Elijah went up to the top of Carmel; and he bent down to the earth and put his face between his knees.And he said to his servant,“ Go up now, look toward the sea.” So he went up and looked, but he said,“ There is nothing.” Yet Elijah said,“ Go back” seven times.And when he returned the seventh time, he said,“ Behold, a cloud as small as a person’s hand is coming up from the sea.” And Elijah said,“ Go up, say to Ahab,‘ Harness your chariot horses and go down, so that the heavy shower does not stop you.’ ”Meanwhile the sky became dark with clouds and wind came up, and there was a heavy shower. And Ahab rode and went to Jezreel.

The heaven which is over your head shall be bronze, and the earth which is under you, iron.

When He utters His voice, there is a roar of waters in the heavens, And He makes the clouds ascend from the end of the earth. He makes lightning for the rain And brings out wind from His storehouses.

So shout for joy, you sons of Zion, And rejoice in the Lord your God; For He has given you the early rain for your vindication. And He has brought down for you the rain, The early and latter rain as before.The threshing floors will be full of grain, And the vats will overflow with the new wine and oil.

“ At this also my heart trembles, And leaps from its place.Listen closely to the thunder of His voice, And the rumbling that goes out from His mouth.Under the whole heaven He lets it loose, And His lightning travels to the ends of the earth.After it, a voice roars; He thunders with His majestic voice, And He does not restrain the lightning when His voice is heard.God thunders wondrously with His voice, Doing great things which we do not comprehend.For to the snow He says,‘ Fall on the earth,’ And to the downpour and the rain,‘ Be strong.’

Then the remnant of Jacob Will be among many peoples Like dew from the Lord, Like showers on vegetation That do not wait for man, Or delay for mankind.

They waited for me as for the rain, And opened their mouths as for the late rain.

You visit the earth and cause it to overflow; You greatly enrich it; The stream of God is full of water; You prepare their grain, for so You prepare the earth.

And on that day you will not question Me about anything. Truly, truly I say to you, if you ask the Father for anything in My name, He will give it to you.

In the light of a king’s face is life, And his favor is like a cloud with the spring rain.

“ Furthermore, I withheld the rain from you While there were still three months until harvest. Then I would send rain on one city, But on another city I would not send rain; One part would be rained on, While the part not rained on would dry up.

May he come down like rain upon the mown grass, Like showers that water the earth.

“ And it shall come about, if you listen obediently to my commandments which I am commanding you today, to love the Lord your God and to serve Him with all your heart and all your soul,that He will provide rain for your land in its season, the early and late rain, so that you may gather your grain, your new wine, and your oil.

So let’s learn, let’s press on to know the Lord. His appearance is as sure as the dawn; And He will come to us like the rain, As the spring rain waters the earth.”

I planted, Apollos watered, but God was causing the growth.
