Ask the Lord for rain in the springtime; it is the Lord who sends the thunderstorms. He gives showers of rain to all people, and plants of the field to everyone.

People of Judah, ask the Lord to send rain in the spring. He is the one who sends the thunderstorms. He sends down showers of rain on all people. He gives everyone the plants in the fields.

Ask rain from the Lord in the season of the spring rain, from the Lord who makes the storm clouds, and he will give them showers of rain, to everyone the vegetation in the field.

Ask the Lord for rain in the spring, for he makes the storm clouds. And he will send showers of rain so every field becomes a lush pasture.

Ask the LORD for rain in the season of spring rain. The LORD makes the rain clouds, and he will give them showers of rain and crops in the field for everyone.

Ask for rain from the Lord at the time of the spring rain— The Lord who makes the storm winds; And He will give them showers of rain, vegetation in the field to each person.

Ask ye of Jehovah rain in the time of the latter rain, even of Jehovah that maketh lightnings; and he will give them showers of rain, to every one grass in the field.

Ask the LORD for rain in the season of the late spring rains– the LORD who causes thunderstorms– and he will give everyone showers of rain and green growth in the field.

Ask of Yahweh rain in the spring time, Yahweh who makes storm clouds, and he gives rain showers to everyone for the plants in the field.

Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord. Behold, the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth, and hath long patience for it, until he receive the early and latter rain.

For I will pour water upon him that is thirsty, and floods upon the dry ground: I will pour my spirit upon thy seed, and my blessing upon thine offspring:

Confess[ your] faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.Elias was a man subject to like passions as we are, and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain: and it rained not on the earth by the space of three years and six months.And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth brought forth her fruit.

Are there[ any] among the vanities of the Gentiles that can cause rain? or can the heavens give showers?[ art] not thou he, O LORD our God? therefore we will wait upon thee: for thou hast made all these[ things].

And I will lay it waste: it shall not be pruned, nor digged; but there shall come up briers and thorns: I will also command the clouds that they rain no rain upon it.

For he maketh small the drops of water: they pour down rain according to the vapour thereof:Which the clouds do drop[ and] distil upon man abundantly.Also can[ any] understand the spreadings of the clouds,[ or] the noise of his tabernacle?Behold, he spreadeth his light upon it, and covereth the bottom of the sea.For by them judgeth he the people; he giveth meat in abundance.

And Elijah the Tishbite,[ who was] of the inhabitants of Gilead, said unto Ahab,[ As] the LORD God of Israel liveth, before whom I stand, there shall not be dew nor rain these years, but according to my word.

He watereth the hills from his chambers: the earth is satisfied with the fruit of thy works.

Sow to yourselves in righteousness, reap in mercy; break up your fallow ground: for[ it is] time to seek the LORD, till he come and rain righteousness upon you.

And Elijah said unto Ahab, Get thee up, eat and drink; for[ there is] a sound of abundance of rain.So Ahab went up to eat and to drink. And Elijah went up to the top of Carmel; and he cast himself down upon the earth, and put his face between his knees,And said to his servant, Go up now, look toward the sea. And he said, Go again seven times.And it came to pass at the seventh time, that he said, Behold, there ariseth a little cloud out of the sea, like a man’s hand. And he said, Go up, say unto Ahab, Prepare[ thy chariot], and get thee down, that the rain stop thee not.And it came to pass in the mean while, that the heaven was black with clouds and wind, and there was a great rain. And Ahab rode, and went to Jezreel.

And thy heaven that[ is] over thy head shall be brass, and the earth that is under thee[ shall be] iron.

When he uttereth[ his] voice,[ there is] a multitude of waters in the heavens; and he causeth the vapours to ascend from the ends of the earth: he maketh lightnings with rain, and bringeth forth the wind out of his treasures.

Be glad then, ye children of Zion, and rejoice in the LORD your God: for he hath given you the former rain moderately, and he will cause to come down for you the rain, the former rain, and the latter rain in the first[ month].And the floors shall be full of wheat, and the fats shall overflow with wine and oil.

At this also my heart trembleth, and is moved out of his place.Hear attentively the noise of his voice, and the sound[ that] goeth out of his mouth.He directeth it under the whole heaven, and his lightning unto the ends of the earth.After it a voice roareth: he thundereth with the voice of his excellency; and he will not stay them when his voice is heard.God thundereth marvellously with his voice; great things doeth he, which we cannot comprehend.For he saith to the snow, Be thou[ on] the earth; likewise to the small rain, and to the great rain of his strength.

And the remnant of Jacob shall be in the midst of many people as a dew from the LORD, as the showers upon the grass, that tarrieth not for man, nor waiteth for the sons of men.

And they waited for me as for the rain; and they opened their mouth wide[ as] for the latter rain.

Thou visitest the earth, and waterest it: thou greatly enrichest it with the river of God,[ which] is full of water: thou preparest them corn, when thou hast so provided for it.

And in that day ye shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give[ it] you.

In the light of the king’s countenance[ is] life; and his favour[ is] as a cloud of the latter rain.

And also I have withholden the rain from you, when[ there were] yet three months to the harvest: and I caused it to rain upon one city, and caused it not to rain upon another city: one piece was rained upon, and the piece whereupon it rained not withered.

He shall come down like rain upon the mown grass: as showers[ that] water the earth.

And it shall come to pass, if ye shall hearken diligently unto my commandments which I command you this day, to love the LORD your God, and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul,That I will give[ you] the rain of your land in his due season, the first rain and the latter rain, that thou mayest gather in thy corn, and thy wine, and thine oil.

Then shall we know,[ if] we follow on to know the LORD: his going forth is prepared as the morning; and he shall come unto us as the rain, as the latter[ and] former rain unto the earth.

I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase.
