耶路撒冷諸女歟、如遇我所愛者、我囑爾告之、言我因愛致疾、

耶路撒冷女乎、如遇夫子、為我言之、眷愛之情已多、令我消魂。

耶路撒冷眾女乎、切求爾、如遇我之良人、則告之、我因思愛致病、

Daughters of Jerusalem, I charge you— if you find my beloved, what will you tell him? Tell him I am faint with love.

Women of Jerusalem, make me a promise. If you find the one who loves me, tell him our love has made me weak.”

I adjure you, O daughters of Jerusalem, if you find my beloved, that you tell him I am sick with love.

Make this promise, O women of Jerusalem— If you find my lover, tell him I am weak with love.

Young women of Jerusalem, I charge you, if you find my love, tell him that I am lovesick.

Swear to me, you daughters of Jerusalem, If you find my beloved, As to what you will tell him: For I am lovesick.”

Strengthen me with raisins, refresh me with apples; for I am faint with love.

As the deer pants for the water brooks, so my soul pants after you, God.My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. When shall I come and appear before God?My tears have been my food day and night, while they continually ask me,“ Where is your God?”

My cry goes to God! Indeed, I cry to God for help, and for him to listen to me.In the day of my trouble I sought the Lord. My hand was stretched out in the night, and didn’t get tired. My soul refused to be comforted.I remember God, and I groan. I complain, and my spirit is overwhelmed. Selah.

Now I beg you, brothers, by our Lord Jesus Christ and by the love of the Spirit, that you strive together with me in your prayers to God for me,

Brothers, even if a man is caught in some fault, you who are spiritual must restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness; looking to yourself so that you also aren’t tempted.Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.

God, you are my God. I will earnestly seek you. My soul thirsts for you. My flesh longs for you, in a dry and weary land, where there is no water.So I have seen you in the sanctuary, watching your power and your glory.Because your loving kindness is better than life, my lips shall praise you.

I adjure you, daughters of Jerusalem, that you not stir up, nor awaken love, until it so desires.

Confess your offenses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective.

My soul faints for your salvation. I hope in your word.My eyes fail for your word. I say,“ When will you comfort me?”For I have become like a wineskin in the smoke. I don’t forget your statutes.
