How is your beloved better than others, most beautiful of women? How is your beloved better than others, that you so charge us?

“ You are the most beautiful woman of all. How is the one you love better than others? How is he better than anyone else? Why do you ask us to make you this promise?”

What is your beloved more than another beloved, O most beautiful among women? What is your beloved more than another beloved, that you thus adjure us?

Why is your lover better than all others, O woman of rare beauty? What makes your lover so special that we must promise this?

What makes the one you love better than another, most beautiful of women? What makes him better than another, that you would give us this charge?

“ What kind of beloved is your beloved, O most beautiful among women? What kind of beloved is your beloved, That you make us swear in this way?”

What makes the one you love better than another, most beautiful of women? What makes him better than another, that you would give us this charge?

Why is your beloved better than others, O most beautiful of women? Why is your beloved better than others, that you would command us in this manner?

If you don’t know, most beautiful among women, follow the tracks of the sheep. Graze your young goats beside the shepherds’ tents.

Where has your beloved gone, you fairest among women? Where has your beloved turned, that we may seek him with you?

My dove, my perfect one, is unique. She is her mother’s only daughter. She is the favorite one of her who bore her. The daughters saw her, and called her blessed. The queens and the concubines saw her, and they praised her.Who is she who looks out as the morning, beautiful as the moon, clear as the sun, and awesome as an army with banners?

The princess inside is all glorious. Her clothing is interwoven with gold.

Now when Jesus came into the parts of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, saying,“ Who do men say that I, the Son of Man, am?”They said,“ Some say John the Baptizer, some, Elijah, and others, Jeremiah, or one of the prophets.”He said to them,“ But who do you say that I am?”Simon Peter answered,“ You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.”Jesus answered him,“ Blessed are you, Simon Bar Jonah, for flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but my Father who is in heaven.

For he grew up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of dry ground. He has no good looks or majesty. When we see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him.

Glorious things are spoken about you, city of God. Selah.

Even if our Good News is veiled, it is veiled in those who are dying,in whom the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving, that the light of the Good News of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should not dawn on them.For we don’t preach ourselves, but Christ Jesus as Lord, and ourselves as your servants for Jesus’ sake,seeing it is God who said,“ Light will shine out of darkness,” who has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

When he had come into Jerusalem, all the city was stirred up, saying,“ Who is this?”

The Word became flesh, and lived among us. We saw his glory, such glory as of the one and only Son of the Father, full of grace and truth.
