And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to[ his] purpose.

Knowing[ this], that the trying of your faith worketh patience.But let patience have[ her] perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.

For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth.If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not?But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons.Furthermore we have had fathers of our flesh which corrected[ us], and we gave[ them] reverence: shall we not much rather be in subjection unto the Father of spirits, and live?For they verily for a few days chastened[ us] after their own pleasure; but he for[ our] profit, that[ we] might be partakers of his holiness.Now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby.Wherefore lift up the hands which hang down, and the feeble knees;

As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.

And thou shalt remember all the way which the LORD thy God led thee these forty years in the wilderness, to humble thee,[ and] to prove thee, to know what[ was] in thine heart, whether thou wouldest keep his commandments, or no.And he humbled thee, and suffered thee to hunger, and fed thee with manna, which thou knewest not, neither did thy fathers know; that he might make thee know that man doth not live by bread only, but by every[ word] that proceedeth out of the mouth of the LORD doth man live.

And said, I beseech thee, O LORD God of heaven, the great and terrible God, that keepeth covenant and mercy for them that love him and observe his commandments:

But when it pleased God, who separated me from my mother’s womb, and called[ me] by his grace,

For all things[ are] for your sakes, that the abundant grace might through the thanksgiving of many redound to the glory of God.For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward[ man] is renewed day by day.For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding[ and] eternal weight of glory;

God[ is] our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea;

And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.

According to the eternal purpose which he purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord:

For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ,

For I know that this shall turn to my salvation through your prayer, and the supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ,According to my earnest expectation and[ my] hope, that in nothing I shall be ashamed, but[ that] with all boldness, as always,[ so] now also Christ shall be magnified in my body, whether[ it be] by life, or by death.For to me to live[ is] Christ, and to die[ is] gain.But if I live in the flesh, this[ is] the fruit of my labour: yet what I shall choose I wot not.For I am in a strait betwixt two, having a desire to depart, and to be with Christ; which is far better:

For we know that if our earthly house of[ this] tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.

Thus saith the LORD, the God of Israel; Like these good figs, so will I acknowledge them that are carried away captive of Judah, whom I have sent out of this place into the land of the Chaldeans for[ their] good.For I will set mine eyes upon them for good, and I will bring them again to this land: and I will build them, and not pull[ them] down; and I will plant them, and not pluck[ them] up.And I will give them an heart to know me, that I[ am] the LORD: and they shall be my people, and I will be their God: for they shall return unto me with their whole heart.

And that he might make known the riches of his glory on the vessels of mercy, which he had afore prepared unto glory,Even us, whom he hath called, not of the Jews only, but also of the Gentiles?

But we are bound to give thanks alway to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth:Whereunto he called you by our gospel, to the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.

( For[ the children] being not yet born, neither having done any good or evil, that the purpose of God according to election might stand, not of works, but of him that calleth;)

Among whom are ye also the called of Jesus Christ:To all that be in Rome, beloved of God, called[ to be] saints: Grace to you and peace from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ.

[ Which is] a manifest token of the righteous judgment of God, that ye may be counted worthy of the kingdom of God, for which ye also suffer:Seeing[ it is] a righteous thing with God to recompense tribulation to them that trouble you;And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels,

And when the Gentiles heard this, they were glad, and glorified the word of the Lord: and as many as were ordained to eternal life believed.

This persuasion[ cometh] not of him that calleth you.

And the land shall tremble and sorrow: for every purpose of the LORD shall be performed against Babylon, to make the land of Babylon a desolation without an inhabitant.
