我儕得救在望、既得所望、則不復望、人所已得者、豈猶望之乎、

我们得救是在乎盼望；只是所见的盼望不是盼望，谁还盼望他所见的呢

夫我儕以望而得救、然既見之望、非望也、蓋既見之、孰猶望之乎、

我儕得救在望、既得所望、則不復望、以既得之、豈猶有望乎、

蓋吾人之得救也、實有恃乎望德；然已見之望、非望也；夫人於目前之事、亦何所用其望乎？

For in this hope we were saved. But hope that is seen is no hope at all. Who hopes for what they already have?

That’s the hope we had when we were saved. But hope that can be seen is no hope at all. Who hopes for what they already have?

For in this hope we were saved. Now hope that is seen is not hope. For who hopes for what he sees?

We were given this hope when we were saved.( If we already have something, we don’t need to hope for it.

Now in this hope we were saved, but hope that is seen is not hope, because who hopes for what he sees?

For we were saved in this hope, but hope that is seen is not hope; for why does one still hope for what he sees?

夫信使人以所望者為實、為實或作為必得為未見者之據、

我非憑目睹、惟憑信而行、

惟我儕為白晝之人、當謹守、以信與愛為甲衣之、以得救之望為盔戴之、

當頌美我主耶穌基督之父天主、緣彼按其鴻慈、使我儕因耶穌基督由死復活得重生、有永生之望、

我所務者、非可見之事、乃不可見之事、蓋可見者暫、不可見者永也、

爾曹賴基督信天主使基督由死復活、且賜之榮光、使爾向天主有信與望、

我儕避難堅心希望所許之福、既有此永不可易之二事、天主於此事、不能誑言、我儕即大有勉勵、我儕有此望、猶心之錨、堅定不移、入於幔內、

蒙雅各之天主扶助、仰望主其天主者、斯人便為有福、

我儕又因耶穌由信得前進而蒙此恩寵、並得立於其中、且望天主之榮為樂、且望天主之榮為樂或作因望天主之榮而誇

爾曹被囚猶有望者、可歸衛所、衛所或作鞏固之城我今日告爾、必加倍償於爾、

有望則喜、遭難則忍、恆於祈禱、

敬畏主仰望主恩者、主目眷顧之、

惟爾止於信、堅立於基、不移於福音之望、此福音、乃爾所聞、已傳於天下萬人、我保羅為此福音之役焉、○

願賜人有望之天主、使爾以信而得喜樂、平安充心、賴聖神之大能、希望益甚、○

願我主耶穌基督及我父天主、即愛我儕施恩永賜我以慰藉、及賜我以美望者、

此奧妙傳於異邦人中、蓋天主欲使聖徒知此奧妙之大榮此奧妙之大榮原文作此奧妙之榮之豐富何如、此奧妙即基督在爾中、使爾賴之可望得榮、

蓋天主普救之恩、已顯著於眾、教我儕除諸不虔及世之情慾、得以自守公義虔敬、在此世度日、以待所望之福、與至大之天主、我救主耶穌基督之榮顯、

主歟、我儕惟仰望主、但願主之恩惠、臨及我身、

我儕賴聖神、而由信有望、俟得稱義、

今有信、有望、有愛、此三者皆存、其中至大者、愛也、

昔先知預言爾所將得之恩、探索此救道而研究之、基督之神、在先知心中、預言基督受苦後得榮、彼考察神所指者、為何期何時、

緣爾有所望者為爾存於天、乃爾昔聞於福音真道者、

昔所書之經、皆為訓我而書、使我儕由經學忍得慰而有望、

凡倚恃我、我原文作主惟我我原文作主是賴、斯人有福、

惡人行惡而見逐、善人臨死而有望、
