Because by the works of the law, no flesh will be justified in his sight; for through the law comes the knowledge of sin.

蓋於上帝前、無人因行律見義、第由律知罪耳、○

蓋恃法而行者、無人得稱義於上帝前、法第使人知罪耳、

故無人由遵行律法、得稱義於天主前、蓋由律法可知罪耳、○

蓋徒恃遵行律法、無人能稱義於天主之前；惟因法而知罪耳。

Therefore no one will be declared righteous in God’s sight by the works of the law; rather, through the law we become conscious of our sin.

So no one will be considered right with God by obeying the law. Instead, the law makes us more aware of our sin.

For by works of the law no human being will be justified in his sight, since through the law comes knowledge of sin.

For no one can ever be made right with God by doing what the law commands. The law simply shows us how sinful we are.

For no one will be justified in his sight by the works of the law, because the knowledge of sin comes through the law.

because by the works of the Law none of mankind will be justified in His sight; for through the Law comes knowledge of sin.

Therefore by the deeds of the law no flesh will be justified in His sight, for by the law is the knowledge of sin.

because by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified in his sight; for through the law cometh the knowledge of sin.

For no one will be justified in His sight by the works of the law, because the knowledge of sin comes through the law.

For no one is declared righteous before him by the works of the law, for through the law comes the knowledge of sin.

yet knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law but through faith in Jesus Christ, even we believed in Christ Jesus, that we might be justified by faith in Christ, and not by the works of the law, because no flesh will be justified by the works of the law.

and by him everyone who believes is justified from all things, from which you could not be justified by the law of Moses.

We maintain therefore that a man is justified by faith apart from the works of the law.

For the law produces wrath, for where there is no law, neither is there disobedience.

For I, through the law, died to the law, that I might live to God.

Why? Because they didn’t seek it by faith, but as it were by works of the law. They stumbled over the stumbling stone;

The law came in that the trespass might abound; but where sin abounded, grace abounded more exceedingly;

For the promise to Abraham and to his offspring that he should be heir of the world wasn’t through the law, but through the righteousness of faith.

for by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God,not of works, that no one would boast.

What shall we say then? Is the law sin? May it never be! However, I wouldn’t have known sin, except through the law. For I wouldn’t have known coveting, unless the law had said,“ You shall not covet.”But sin, finding occasion through the commandment, produced in me all kinds of coveting. For apart from the law, sin is dead.I was alive apart from the law once, but when the commandment came, sin revived, and I died.

not by works of righteousness which we did ourselves, but according to his mercy, he saved us through the washing of regeneration and renewing by the Holy Spirit,whom he poured out on us richly, through Jesus Christ our Savior;that being justified by his grace, we might be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.

You are alienated from Christ, you who desire to be justified by the law. You have fallen away from grace.

For as many as are of the works of the law are under a curse. For it is written,“ Cursed is everyone who doesn’t continue in all things that are written in the book of the law, to do them.”Now that no man is justified by the law before God is evident, for,“ The righteous will live by faith.”The law is not of faith, but,“ The man who does them will live by them.”Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us. For it is written,“ Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree,”

Don’t enter into judgment with your servant, for in your sight no man living is righteous.

For until the law, sin was in the world; but sin is not charged when there is no law.

But do you want to know, vain man, that faith apart from works is dead?Wasn’t Abraham our father justified by works, in that he offered up Isaac his son on the altar?You see that faith worked with his works, and by works faith was perfected.So the Scripture was fulfilled which says,“ Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him as righteousness,” and he was called the friend of God.You see then that by works, a man is justified, and not only by faith.In the same way, wasn’t Rahab the prostitute also justified by works, in that she received the messengers and sent them out another way?For as the body apart from the spirit is dead, even so faith apart from works is dead.

For it isn’t the hearers of the law who are righteous before God, but the doers of the law will be justified

If you, Yah, kept a record of sins, Lord, who could stand?

Behold, he puts no trust in his holy ones. Yes, the heavens are not clean in his sight;

But if you show partiality, you commit sin, being convicted by the law as transgressors.For whoever keeps the whole law, and yet stumbles in one point, he has become guilty of all.

How then can man be just with God? Or how can he who is born of a woman be clean?Behold, even the moon has no brightness, and the stars are not pure in his sight;
