夫法之所言、所以昭示法內之人、亦所以塞夫人之口、而使舉世皆服罪於天主之前也。

Now we know that whatever the law says, it says to those who are under the law, so that every mouth may be silenced and the whole world held accountable to God.

The upright will see it, and be glad. All the wicked will shut their mouths.

What then? Are we better than they? No, in no way. For we previously warned both Jews and Greeks that they are all under sin.

So the poor has hope, and injustice shuts her mouth.

Tell me, you that desire to be under the law, don’t you listen to the law?

But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law.

But the Scripture imprisoned all things under sin, that the promise by faith in Jesus Christ might be given to those who believe.But before faith came, we were kept in custody under the law, confined for the faith which should afterwards be revealed.

He will keep the feet of his holy ones, but the wicked will be put to silence in darkness; for no man will prevail by strength.

that he might redeem those who were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of children.
