After this I looked, and there in front of me was a huge crowd of people. They stood in front of the throne and in front of the Lamb. There were so many that no one could count them. They came from every nation, tribe and people. That’s true no matter what language they spoke. They were wearing white robes. In their hands they were holding palm branches.

On the first day you are to take branches from luxuriant trees— from palms, willows and other leafy trees— and rejoice before the Lord your God for seven days.

Then one of the elders asked me,“ These in white robes— who are they, and where did they come from?”I answered,“ Sir, you know.” And he said,“ These are they who have come out of the great tribulation; they have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.Therefore,“ they are before the throne of God and serve him day and night in his temple; and he who sits on the throne will shelter them with his presence.

I do not want you to be ignorant of this mystery, brothers and sisters, so that you may not be conceited: Israel has experienced a hardening in part until the full number of the Gentiles has come in,

“ Many nations will be joined with the Lord in that day and will become my people. I will live among you and you will know that the Lord Almighty has sent me to you.

Be always on the watch, and pray that you may be able to escape all that is about to happen, and that you may be able to stand before the Son of Man.”

Then each of them was given a white robe, and they were told to wait a little longer, until the full number of their fellow servants, their brothers and sisters, were killed just as they had been.

Yet you have a few people in Sardis who have not soiled their clothes. They will walk with me, dressed in white, for they are worthy.The one who is victorious will, like them, be dressed in white. I counsel you to buy from me gold refined in the fire, so you can become rich; and white clothes to wear, so you can cover your shameful nakedness; and salve to put on your eyes, so you can see.

In the last days the mountain of the Lord’s temple will be established as the highest of the mountains; it will be exalted above the hills, and all nations will stream to it.Many peoples will come and say,“ Come, let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, to the temple of the God of Jacob. He will teach us his ways, so that we may walk in his paths.” The law will go out from Zion, the word of the Lord from Jerusalem.

The Lord will extend your mighty scepter from Zion, saying,“ Rule in the midst of your enemies!”Your troops will be willing on your day of battle. Arrayed in holy splendor, your young men will come to you like dew from the morning’s womb.

Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.

All the ends of the earth will remember and turn to the Lord, and all the families of the nations will bow down before him,

Meanwhile, when a crowd of many thousands had gathered, so that they were trampling on one another, Jesus began to speak first to his disciples, saying:“ Be on your guard against the yeast of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy.

Ask me, and I will make the nations your inheritance, the ends of the earth your possession.

But you have come to Mount Zion, to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem. You have come to thousands upon thousands of angels in joyful assembly,

In his days may the righteous flourish and prosperity abound till the moon is no more.May he rule from sea to sea and from the River to the ends of the earth.May the desert tribes bow before him and his enemies lick the dust.May the kings of Tarshish and of distant shores bring tribute to him. May the kings of Sheba and Seba present him gifts.May all kings bow down to him and all nations serve him.

And so from this one man, and he as good as dead, came descendants as numerous as the stars in the sky and as countless as the sand on the seashore.

He has remembered his love and his faithfulness to Israel; all the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God.

and, moreover, that the Gentiles might glorify God for his mercy. As it is written:“ Therefore I will praise you among the Gentiles; I will sing the praises of your name.”Again, it says,“ Rejoice, you Gentiles, with his people.”And again,“ Praise the Lord, all you Gentiles; let all the peoples extol him.”And again, Isaiah says,“ The Root of Jesse will spring up, one who will arise to rule over the nations; in him the Gentiles will hope.”

The scepter will not depart from Judah, nor the ruler’s staff from between his feet, until he to whom it belongs shall come and the obedience of the nations shall be his.

“ Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord rises upon you.See, darkness covers the earth and thick darkness is over the peoples, but the Lord rises upon you and his glory appears over you.Nations will come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your dawn.“ Lift up your eyes and look about you: All assemble and come to you; your sons come from afar, and your daughters are carried on the hip.Then you will look and be radiant, your heart will throb and swell with joy; the wealth on the seas will be brought to you, to you the riches of the nations will come.Herds of camels will cover your land, young camels of Midian and Ephah. And all from Sheba will come, bearing gold and incense and proclaiming the praise of the Lord.All Kedar’s flocks will be gathered to you, the rams of Nebaioth will serve you; they will be accepted as offerings on my altar, and I will adorn my glorious temple.“ Who are these that fly along like clouds, like doves to their nests?Surely the islands look to me; in the lead are the ships of Tarshish, bringing your children from afar, with their silver and gold, to the honor of the Lord your God, the Holy One of Israel, for he has endowed you with splendor.“ Foreigners will rebuild your walls, and their kings will serve you. Though in anger I struck you, in favor I will show you compassion.Your gates will always stand open, they will never be shut, day or night, so that people may bring you the wealth of the nations— their kings led in triumphal procession.For the nation or kingdom that will not serve you will perish; it will be utterly ruined.“ The glory of Lebanon will come to you, the juniper, the fir and the cypress together, to adorn my sanctuary; and I will glorify the place for my feet.The children of your oppressors will come bowing before you; all who despise you will bow down at your feet and will call you the City of the Lord, Zion of the Holy One of Israel.

Lord, my strength and my fortress, my refuge in time of distress, to you the nations will come from the ends of the earth and say,“ Our ancestors possessed nothing but false gods, worthless idols that did them no good.

I will make your offspring like the dust of the earth, so that if anyone could count the dust, then your offspring could be counted.

he says:“ It is too small a thing for you to be my servant to restore the tribes of Jacob and bring back those of Israel I have kept. I will also make you a light for the Gentiles, that my salvation may reach to the ends of the earth.”This is what the Lord says— the Redeemer and Holy One of Israel— to him who was despised and abhorred by the nation, to the servant of rulers:“ Kings will see you and stand up, princes will see and bow down, because of the Lord, who is faithful, the Holy One of Israel, who has chosen you.”This is what the Lord says:“ In the time of my favor I will answer you, and in the day of salvation I will help you; I will keep you and will make you to be a covenant for the people, to restore the land and to reassign its desolate inheritances,

This is what the Lord Almighty says:“ Many peoples and the inhabitants of many cities will yet come,and the inhabitants of one city will go to another and say,‘ Let us go at once to entreat the Lord and seek the Lord Almighty. I myself am going.’And many peoples and powerful nations will come to Jerusalem to seek the Lord Almighty and to entreat him.”This is what the Lord Almighty says:“ In those days ten people from all languages and nations will take firm hold of one Jew by the hem of his robe and say,‘ Let us go with you, because we have heard that God is with you.’”

King Nebuchadnezzar, To the nations and peoples of every language, who live in all the earth: May you prosper greatly!

Then King Darius wrote to all the nations and peoples of every language in all the earth:“ May you prosper greatly!

When I was in distress, I sought the Lord; at night I stretched out untiring hands, and I would not be comforted.

You are radiant with light, more majestic than mountains rich with game.

“ Yet the Israelites will be like the sand on the seashore, which cannot be measured or counted. In the place where it was said to them,‘ You are not my people,’ they will be called‘ children of the living God.’

Then I looked and heard the voice of many angels, numbering thousands upon thousands, and ten thousand times ten thousand. They encircled the throne and the living creatures and the elders.
