我若能言諸國諸天使之言而無愛、則猶鳴金響鈸、雖能預言、洞悉諸奧諸智、且篤信足以移山、若無愛、則我為烏有、雖罄所有以施濟、又舍身被焚、若無愛、則於我無益、夫愛則寬忍、慈惠、不妒、不誇、不衒、不妄行、不為己、不暴怒、不念惡、不喜非義、而喜真理、悉容、悉信、悉望、悉忍、惟愛無隕、但預言將廢、方言將止、知識亦將無、

暮年猶結其實、汁滿而色青兮、

然義人仍守厥道、手潔者久而彌強、

我知爾居所、乃撒但之座所在、昔我忠信之證者安提帕、見殺於爾中、即撒但之所居、爾則持我名、亦未嘗拒我道、

義者之道、有若朝暉、愈升愈明、迨至中午、

我知爾患難貧乏、而實富有、且知自謂猶太人者之謗讟、然非猶太人、乃撒但之黨、
