They spoke evil things against the God of heaven. They did this because of their pains and their sores. But they refused to turn away from the sins they had committed.

凡天上之天主所命、當為天主殿殷勤行之、否則、恐災降於王之國、或降於王之子、

俾得獻馨香之祭於天上天主、為王及王子之壽命祈禱、

當稱謝天上之天主、主之恩慈、永遠常存、

王曰、爾有何求、我即默禱天上之天主、

當彼列王之時、天上之天主、更立一國永遠不敗、其國不為他民所得、必毀而滅彼諸國、恆存不廢、

曰、我乃希伯來人、素敬畏天上之主宰耶和華、造海與陸地者、造海與陸地者或作海與陸地為其所造
