大聲呼曰、巴比倫大邑、傾矣、傾矣、今為鬼魔居處、並為諸邪神邪神或作不潔之神及諸不潔可憎之鳥所棲、

有一大力之天使、舉石大如磨磐者投於海、曰、巴比倫大邑、亦必如是猝然傾頹、不復得見、

屍仆大邑之街衢、斯邑可喻所多瑪與伊及、即我主釘十字架之處、

燈光不復照於爾間、新娶者與新婦之聲、不復聞於爾間、爾之商賈、乃世之居尊位者、萬國皆以爾巫術而迷惑、

蓋天主感彼眾之心、以成厥旨、使彼眾同心、將己之國給獸、以待天主之言應焉、

有智慧者、可悟其義、七首、乃婦所坐之七山、

我所見之獸、形似豹、足如熊、口如獅、龍以己之能與位及大權賜之、我見獸七首之一、受傷幾死、其幾死之傷全愈、天下人皆奇而從獸、乃拜以權予獸之龍、又拜獸曰、誰能比此獸、誰能與之交戰、
