You gave abundant showers, O God; you refreshed your weary inheritance.

God, you gave us plenty of rain. You renewed your worn- out land.

Rain in abundance, O God, you shed abroad; you restored your inheritance as it languished;

You, God, showered abundant rain; you revived your inheritance when it languished.

You made plentiful rain fall, God; You confirmed Your inheritance when it was parched.

You, O God, sent a plentiful rain, Whereby You confirmed Your inheritance, When it was weary.

Thou, O God, didst send a plentiful rain, Thou didst confirm thine inheritance, when it was weary.

You, God, showered abundant rain; You revived Your inheritance when it languished.

O God, you cause abundant showers to fall on your chosen people. When they are tired, you sustain them,

He rained down manna for them to eat; he gave them bread from heaven.They ate the food of angels! God gave them all they could hold.He released the east wind in the heavens and guided the south wind by his mighty power.He rained down meat as thick as dust— birds as plentiful as the sand on the seashore!

then he will send the rains in their proper seasons— the early and late rains— so you can bring in your harvests of grain, new wine, and olive oil.

I will bless my people and their homes around my holy hill. And in the proper season I will send the showers they need. There will be showers of blessing.

You take care of the earth and water it, making it rich and fertile. The river of God has plenty of water; it provides a bountiful harvest of grain, for you have ordered it so.You drench the plowed ground with rain, melting the clods and leveling the ridges. You soften the earth with showers and bless its abundant crops.You crown the year with a bountiful harvest; even the hard pathways overflow with abundance.The grasslands of the wilderness become a lush pasture, and the hillsides blossom with joy.The meadows are clothed with flocks of sheep, and the valleys are carpeted with grain. They all shout and sing for joy!

When the Red Sea saw you, O God, its waters looked and trembled! The sea quaked to its very depths.The clouds poured down rain; the thunder rumbled in the sky. Your arrows of lightning flashed.

For the land you are about to enter and take over is not like the land of Egypt from which you came, where you planted your seed and made irrigation ditches with your foot as in a vegetable garden.Rather, the land you will soon take over is a land of hills and valleys with plenty of rain—a land that the Lord your God cares for. He watches over it through each season of the year!
