我的心哪，你为何忧闷？为何在我里面烦躁？应当仰望神，因他笑脸帮助我；我还要称赞他。

我心為何抑鬱、為何煩惱、當仰望天主、天主仍必面向我、拯救我、我因而頌揚天主、

憶昔領導群眾兮。同登聖所。舉國狂歡兮。如享佳節之大酺。撫今思昔兮。予心鬱悒以悲苦。

Why, my soul, are you downcast? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise him, my Savior and my God.

My spirit, why are you so sad? Why are you so upset deep down inside me? Put your hope in God. Once again I will have reason to praise him. He is my Savior and my God.

Why am I discouraged? Why is my heart so sad? I will put my hope in God! I will praise him again— my Savior and

Why, my soul, are you so dejected? Why are you in such turmoil? Put your hope in God, for I will still praise him, my Savior and my God.

Why are you in despair, my soul? And why are you restless within me? Wait for God, for I will again praise Him For the help of His presence, my God.

Why are you in despair, my soul? Why are you disturbed within me? Hope in God! For I shall still praise him for the saving help of his presence.

Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass.

From the end of the earth will I cry unto thee, when my heart is overwhelmed: lead me to the rock[ that] is higher than I.

For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise.For yet a little while, and he that shall come will come, and will not tarry.

The LORD[ is] my portion, saith my soul; therefore will I hope in him.The LORD[ is] good unto them that wait for him, to the soul[ that] seeketh him.[ It is] good that[ a man] should both hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the LORD.

He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I[ will be] with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him.With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation.

And he taketh with him Peter and James and John, and began to be sore amazed, and to be very heavy;And saith unto them, My soul is exceeding sorrowful unto death: tarry ye here, and watch.

Who[ is] among you that feareth the LORD, that obeyeth the voice of his servant, that walketh[ in] darkness, and hath no light? let him trust in the name of the LORD, and stay upon his God.

I behaved myself as though[ he had been] my friend[ or] brother: I bowed down heavily, as one that mourneth[ for his] mother.

For the enemy hath persecuted my soul; he hath smitten my life down to the ground; he hath made me to dwell in darkness, as those that have been long dead.Therefore is my spirit overwhelmed within me; my heart within me is desolate.

I poured out my complaint before him; I shewed before him my trouble.When my spirit was overwhelmed within me, then thou knewest my path. In the way wherein I walked have they privily laid a snare for me.

Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway,[ even] unto the end of the world. Amen.

I am troubled; I am bowed down greatly; I go mourning all the day long.

Then saith he unto them, My soul is exceeding sorrowful, even unto death: tarry ye here, and watch with me.
