Sacrifice and offering you did not desire— but my ears you have opened— burnt offerings and sin offerings you did not require.

You didn’t want sacrifices and offerings. You didn’t require burnt offerings and sin offerings. You opened my ears so that I could hear you and obey you.

In sacrifice and offering you have not delighted, but you have given me an open ear. Burnt offering and sin offering you have not required.

You take no delight in sacrifices or offerings. Now that you have made me listen, I finally understand— you don’t require burnt offerings or sin offerings.

耶和華說：“你們獻上眾多祭物，對我有甚麼益處呢？公綿羊的燔祭和肥畜的脂肪，我已經夠了；公牛、羊羔和公山羊的血，我都不喜悅。

所以，基督到世上來的時候，就說：“祭品和禮物不是你所要的，你卻為我預備了身體。燔祭和贖罪祭，不是你所喜悅的；那時我說：‘看哪！我來了，經卷上已經記載我的事，神啊！我來是要遵行你的旨意。’”前面說：“祭品和禮物，燔祭和贖罪祭，不是你所要的，也不是你所喜悅的。”這些都是按照律法獻的；接著又說：“看哪！我來了，是要遵行你的旨意。”可見他廢除那先前的，為要建立那後來的。我們憑著這旨意，藉著耶穌基督一次獻上他的身體，就已經成聖。所有的祭司都是天天站著事奉，多次獻上同樣的祭品，那些祭品永遠不能把罪除去。唯有基督獻上了一次永遠有效的贖罪祭，就在神的右邊坐下來。

撒母耳說：“耶和華喜悅燔祭和平安祭，豈像喜悅人聽從耶和華的話呢？聽從勝過獻祭，聽命勝過公羊的脂油。

因為你不喜愛祭物；我就是獻上燔祭，你也不喜悅。

告訴他們，他堅定他們所得的訓誨，

雖然你們給我獻上燔祭和素祭，我卻不接受。你們獻上肥美的牲畜作平安祭，我也不悅納。

萬軍之耶和華以色列的神這樣說：“你們儘管把燔祭加在平安祭上，自己吃祭肉吧！因為我把你們列祖從埃及地領出來的那日，燔祭和平安祭的事，我並沒有向他們提說，也沒有吩咐他們。我只吩咐他們這一件事，說：‘你們要聽從我的話，我就作你們的神，你們也作我的子民；你們要遵行我所吩咐的一切道，好使你們蒙福。’

我喜愛憐恤，不喜愛祭祀；我喜愛人認識神的知識，勝過人獻的燔祭。

如果你們明白‘我喜愛憐憫，不喜愛祭祀’這句話的意思，就不會把無罪的定罪了。

‘我喜愛憐憫，不喜愛祭祀’，你們去想一想這話的意思吧。我來不是要召義人，而是要召罪人。”

他的主人就要把他帶到審判官（“審判官”原文作“神”）那裡，又要把他帶到門前，或是門柱旁；他的主人要用錐子刺穿他的耳朵，他就要永遠服事他的主人。

主耶和華賜給了我一個受教者的舌頭，使我知道怎樣用言語扶助疲乏的人；主每天清晨喚醒我，他每天清晨喚醒我的耳朵，使我能像受教者一樣靜聽。主耶和華開啟了我的耳朵，我並沒有違抗，也沒有後退。

宰牛獻祭，又殺人，獻羊羔為祭，又打折狗的頸項；獻上素祭，又獻上豬血；燒乳香作記念祭，又稱頌虛無之神；他們選擇他們自己的道路，他們的心裡喜悅他們那些可憎惡的事。

我不是因你的祭物責備你，你的燔祭常在我面前。
