你要等候耶和华，要刚强，要坚定你的心，要等候耶和华。

你要倚靠耶和华，并要行善；你要住在地上，以信实为粮食。

你要在耶和华面前静默无声，耐心地等候他；不要因那凡事顺利的，和那恶谋得逞的，心怀不平。

唯有坚忍到底的，必然得救。

因为作恶的必被剪除，但等候耶和华的必承受地土。

你不要说：“我要以恶报恶”；要等候耶和华，他必拯救你。

神必把你永远拆毁；他必把你挪去，把你从帐棚中揪出来，把你从活人之地连根拔起。（细拉）义人必看见而惧怕；他们必讥笑他，说：

你却高举了我的角，像野牛的角；你用新油膏抹我。我亲眼看见那些窥伺我的人遭报，我亲耳听见那些起来攻击我的恶人受罚。

不过你要亲眼观看，看见恶人遭报。

因为凡高抬自己的，必要降卑；自己谦卑的，必要升高。”

正直人的大道远离罪恶；谨守自己道路的，保全自己的性命。

所以你们要谦卑，服在神大能的手下，到了时候，他必叫你们升高。

你双眼要向前正视，你的眼睛要向前直望。你要谨慎你脚下的路径，你一切所行的就必稳妥。不可偏左偏右，要使你的脚远离恶事。

他广施钱财，周济穷人；他的仁义存到永远；他的角必被高举，大有荣耀。

义人必坚守自己的道路，手洁的人要力上加力。

是要叫你们的信心经过试验，就比那被火炼过，仍会朽坏的金子更宝贵，可以在耶稣基督显现的时候，得著称赞、荣耀和尊贵。
