人人跟鄰舍說虛謊話；他們說話、是嘴脣油滑、存兩樣心的。

他的口比奶酪還光滑，他的心卻想要接戰；他的話比膏油還柔和，其實乃是拔出的刀。

不要把我和罪人一同收拾去哦；不要把我的性命和流人血的人一同除掉；

他們的舌頭是殺人的利箭，他嘴裏逕說詭詐：他跟鄰舍說和平話，心裏卻設伏要害他。永恆主發神諭說：我豈不因這些事而施察罰呢？這樣的國我豈不加以報復呢？

人彼此商議、專要從他的尊位上把他推下。他們喜悅謊話：口雖祝福，心卻咒詛。（細拉）

論到一些神言人、那些使我人民走迷了路的、永恆主是這麼說的：他們牙齒間若有可嚼之時，他們就喊叫「平安」；人若對他們口中無所供給時，他們就開始向這人宣戰了。

那時王也必對那在左邊的說：「被咒詛的人哪，離開我，去進入那給魔鬼和他的使者所豫備的永世之火裏去。

他在床上圖謀着奸惡，在不善的路上站定了立場，並不棄絕壞事。

看哪，惡人產痛地生了奸惡：他所懷孕的是毒害，所生的是虛假。

油滑的嘴、奸惡的心、好像釉兒包在瓦器上。怨恨人的用嘴掩飾，心裏卻存着詭詐；他雖說出溫雅的話，你不可信他，因為他心中有七樣可厭惡的；他雖裝模作樣去遮掩恨心，其邪惡總會在公會中露現出的。

其實你已經看見；因為毒害與愁苦、你都觀看，為要以手行鑒察；窮而無告者將自己放交與你；只有你是幫助孤兒的。

他的口滿是咒詛、詭詐和欺凌；他的舌底是毒害和奸惡。

他告訴會眾說：『你們離開這些惡人的帳棚吧！一切屬於他們的、甚麼都不可觸着，恐怕你們也被掃滅於他們的罪中。』

當時法利賽人就去商議、怎樣可以就着話語使耶穌入陷阱。便差遣他們的門徒同希律黨人來見耶穌，說：『先生，我們曉得你很真誠；你以真誠教授上帝的道路；甚麼人你都不在乎，因為你不看人的外貌。那麼請告訴我們，你以為怎樣；納丁稅給羅馬皇帝該撒可以不可以？』耶穌覺出他們的惡意來，就說：『假冒為善的人哪，為甚麼試探我？

勇士啊，你為甚麼以行壞事自誇，而攻擊上帝堅貞之士呢？

這些人必往永世的刑罰裏去；那些義人呢、必往永世的生命裏去。」』
