Though an army besiege me, my heart will not fear; though war break out against me, even then I will be confident.

Even if an army attacks me, my heart will not be afraid. Even if war breaks out against me, I will still trust in God.

Though an army encamp against me, my heart shall not fear; though war arise against me, yet I will be confident.

寤寐思服。主恩罔極。

一心一德、通力合作、以廣福音之傳。勿以敵眾而萌畏縮之意；爾之無畏、即為敵人敗亡之朕兆、亦即爾獲天主恩救之保障也。

即使為善而茹苦、亦屬可慶。人之威脅、不足畏也。

爾今後尚將遭受苦難；望爾毋餒。爾其識之。惡魔將投爾中若干人於獄；此所以予爾以磨練耳。且爾將受難十日、望爾忠貞至死、吾當加爾以生命之榮冠。

因是吾人常具大無畏精神；且深知吾人之寄於軀壳中、猶如暫別主之庭闈、而作客他鄉者也。此雖憑信德而非憑目睹、然吾人總覺坦然無懼、怡然而喜、恨不得即離此軀壳之逆旅、而返我真宅以承慈顏。

孰能間吾人於基督之愛乎？將貧賤憂戚、飢寒困窮乎？抑災患艱危、白刃窘迫乎？詩云：『正惟為主故、吾人日見殺；一如屠家羊默默待宰割。』雖然、賴愛我者之大力、吾人已戰勝一切災害、且綽綽乎有餘裕矣。

時天上發生大戰、彌厄爾率領所屬天神、出與龍戰；龍亦率其天神與之交綏。不克、從此天上不復有若輩立足之地。於是巨龍下墜；巨龍者、即古時、之蛇、名曰妖魔、沙殫、熒惑全世者是；彼與其天神、俱被逐至地。至是吾聞大音自天而發曰：「彼日夜不輟、訟我兄弟於天主前者、已被貶逐。天主救恩權威與統治之完成、及其基督之秉鈞、其時已屆。諸兄弟賴羔羊之血、毅然為聖道作證、舍命不渝、從容就死；故能克服頑敵、終獲致勝。

泛邪說以溺眾兮。逞狡獝而逍遙。
