The LORD hath sworn[ in] truth unto David; he will not turn from it; Of the fruit of thy body will I set upon thy throne.

耶和华向大卫、凭诚实起了誓，必不反复，说：“我要使你所生的坐在你的宝座上。

耶和華以誠誓於大衛、必不反覆、曰我必使爾所生者、居爾位兮、

耶和華兮、爾與大闢發誓、必不有易斯言、曰、將以爾所出之苗裔、俾繼厥位兮。

主向大衛誠實發誓、決不反覆、曰、我必使爾所出之苗裔、登爾之位、

既允大維。主寧能忘。爾之冢息。必得為王。

The Lord swore an oath to David, a sure oath he will not revoke:“ One of your own descendants I will place on your throne.

The Lord made a promise to David. It is a firm promise that he will never break. He said,“ After you die, I will place one of your own sons on your throne.

The Lord swore to David a sure oath from which he will not turn back:“ One of the sons of your body I will set on your throne.

The Lord swore an oath to David with a promise he will never take back:“ I will place one of your descendants on your throne.

The LORD swore an oath to David, a promise he will not abandon:“ I will set one of your offspring on your throne.

The Lord has sworn to David A truth from which He will not turn back:“ I will set upon your throne one from the fruit of your body.

The Lord has sworn in truth to David; He will not turn from it:“ I will set upon your throne the fruit of your body.

Jehovah hath sworn unto David in truth; He will not turn from it: Of the fruit of thy body will I set upon thy throne.

The Lord swore an oath to David, a promise He will not abandon:“ I will set one of your descendants on your throne.

The LORD made a reliable promise to David; he will not go back on his word. He said,“ I will place one of your descendants on your throne.

Yahweh has sworn to David in truth. He will not turn from it:“ I will set the fruit of your body on your throne.

And when thy days be fulfilled, and thou shalt sleep with thy fathers, I will set up thy seed after thee, which shall proceed out of thy bowels, and I will establish his kingdom.

I have made a covenant with my chosen, I have sworn unto David my servant,Thy seed will I establish for ever, and build up thy throne to all generations. Selah.

Now therefore, O LORD God of Israel, keep with thy servant David my father that which thou hast promised him, saying, There shall not fail thee a man in my sight to sit upon the throne of Israel; yet so that thy children take heed to their way to walk in my law, as thou hast walked before me.

The LORD hath sworn, and will not repent, Thou[ art] a priest for ever after the order of Melchizedek.

Therefore being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him, that of the fruit of his loins, according to the flesh, he would raise up Christ to sit on his throne;

And hath raised up an horn of salvation for us in the house of his servant David;As he spake by the mouth of his holy prophets, which have been since the world began:

And thine house and thy kingdom shall be established for ever before thee: thy throne shall be established for ever.

And it shall come to pass, when thy days be expired that thou must go[ to be] with thy fathers, that I will raise up thy seed after thee, which shall be of thy sons; and I will establish his kingdom.He shall build me an house, and I will stablish his throne for ever.I will be his father, and he shall be my son: and I will not take my mercy away from him, as I took[ it] from[ him] that was before thee:

He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David:

Therefore now, LORD God of Israel, keep with thy servant David my father that thou promisedst him, saying, There shall not fail thee a man in my sight to sit on the throne of Israel; so that thy children take heed to their way, that they walk before me as thou hast walked before me.

Thus saith the LORD; If ye can break my covenant of the day, and my covenant of the night, and that there should not be day and night in their season;[ Then] may also my covenant be broken with David my servant, that he should not have a son to reign upon his throne; and with the Levites the priests, my ministers.As the host of heaven cannot be numbered, neither the sand of the sea measured: so will I multiply the seed of David my servant, and the Levites that minister unto me.Moreover the word of the LORD came to Jeremiah, saying,Considerest thou not what this people have spoken, saying, The two families which the LORD hath chosen, he hath even cast them off? thus they have despised my people, that they should be no more a nation before them.Thus saith the LORD; If my covenant[ be] not with day and night,[ and if] I have not appointed the ordinances of heaven and earth;Then will I cast away the seed of Jacob, and David my servant,[ so] that I will not take[ any] of his seed[ to be] rulers over the seed of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob: for I will cause their captivity to return, and have mercy on them.

And also the Strength of Israel will not lie nor repent: for he[ is] not a man, that he should repent.

Nevertheless my lovingkindness will I not utterly take from him, nor suffer my faithfulness to fail.

It shall be established for ever as the moon, and[ as] a faithful witness in heaven. Selah.

That by two immutable things, in which[ it was] impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us:

Once have I sworn by my holiness that I will not lie unto David.

I will be his father, and he shall be my son. If he commit iniquity, I will chasten him with the rod of men, and with the stripes of the children of men:
