In the Lord I take refuge. How then can you say to me:“ Flee like a bird to your mountain.

I run to the Lord for safety. So how can you say to me,“ Fly away like a bird to your mountain.

In the Lord I take refuge; how can you say to my soul,“ Flee like a bird to your mountain,

I trust in the Lord for protection. So why do you say to me,“ Fly like a bird to the mountains for safety!

I have taken refuge in the LORD. How can you say to me,“ Escape to the mountains like a bird!

In the Lord I take refuge; How can you say to my soul,“ Flee as a bird to your mountain?

In the Lord I put my trust; How can you say to my soul,“ Flee as a bird to your mountain”?

In Jehovah do I take refuge: How say ye to my soul, Flee as a bird to your mountain;

I have taken refuge in the Lord. How can you say to me,“ Escape to the mountain like a bird!

In the LORD I have taken shelter. How can you say to me,“ Flee to a mountain like a bird!

In Yahweh, I take refuge. How can you say to my soul,“ Flee as a bird to your mountain”?

And David abode in the wilderness in strong holds, and remained in a mountain in the wilderness of Ziph. And Saul sought him every day, but God delivered him not into his hand.

In God have I put my trust: I will not be afraid what man can do unto me.

The same day there came certain of the Pharisees, saying unto him, Get thee out, and depart hence: for Herod will kill thee.

Thou wilt keep[ him] in perfect peace,[ whose] mind[ is] stayed[ on thee]: because he trusteth in thee.Trust ye in the LORD for ever: for in the LORD JEHOVAH[ is] everlasting strength:

Deliver thyself as a roe from the hand[ of the hunter], and as a bird from the hand of the fowler.

Preserve me, O God: for in thee do I put my trust.

And David said in his heart, I shall now perish one day by the hand of Saul:[ there is] nothing better for me than that I should speedily escape into the land of the Philistines; and Saul shall despair of me, to seek me any more in any coast of Israel: so shall I escape out of his hand.

Saul also sent messengers unto David’s house, to watch him, and to slay him in the morning: and Michal David’s wife told him, saying, If thou save not thy life to night, tomorrow thou shalt be slain.

But I trusted in thee, O LORD: I said, Thou[ art] my God.

And I said, Oh that I had wings like a dove![ for then] would I fly away, and be at rest.Lo,[ then] would I wander far off,[ and] remain in the wilderness. Selah.

Were not the Ethiopians and the Lubims a huge host, with very many chariots and horsemen? yet, because thou didst rely on the LORD, he delivered them into thine hand.

And Jonathan cried after the lad, Make speed, haste, stay not. And Jonathan’s lad gathered up the arrows, and came to his master.

O my God, I trust in thee: let me not be ashamed, let not mine enemies triumph over me.

And David arose, and fled that day for fear of Saul, and went to Achish the king of Gath.And the servants of Achish said unto him,[ Is] not this David the king of the land? did they not sing one to another of him in dances, saying, Saul hath slain his thousands, and David his ten thousands?And David laid up these words in his heart, and was sore afraid of Achish the king of Gath.

And David went thence to Mizpeh of Moab: and he said unto the king of Moab, Let my father and my mother, I pray thee, come forth,[ and be] with you, till I know what God will do for me.

And Asa cried unto the LORD his God, and said, LORD,[ it is] nothing with thee to help, whether with many, or with them that have no power: help us, O LORD our God; for we rest on thee, and in thy name we go against this multitude. O LORD, thou[ art] our God; let not man prevail against thee.

And they that know thy name will put their trust in thee: for thou, LORD, hast not forsaken them that seek thee.

O LORD my God, in thee do I put my trust: save me from all them that persecute me, and deliver me:
