彼變曠野為水澤、旱地為源泉兮、

主復使野有泉源、陸有水澤、

又使沙漠有水澤、使旱地出泉源、

窮民號飢。主心愍之。開石為泉。沙漠成池。

He turned the desert into pools of water and the parched ground into flowing springs;

He turned the desert into pools of water. He turned the dry and cracked ground into flowing springs.

But he also turns deserts into pools of water, the dry land into springs of water.

who turned the rock into a pool of water, the flint into a spring of waters.

The poor and needy seek water, and there is none. Their tongue fails for thirst. I, Yahweh, will answer them. I, the God of Israel, will not forsake them.I will open rivers on the bare heights, and springs in the middle of the valleys. I will make the wilderness a pool of water, and the dry land springs of water.I will put cedar, acacia, myrtle, and oil trees in the wilderness. I will set cypress trees, pine, and box trees together in the desert;

Then the lame man will leap like a deer, and the tongue of the mute will sing; for waters will break out in the wilderness, and streams in the desert.The burning sand will become a pool, and the thirsty ground springs of water. Grass with reeds and rushes will be in the habitation of jackals, where they lay.

For I will pour water on him who is thirsty, and streams on the dry ground. I will pour my Spirit on your descendants, and my blessing on your offspring:and they will spring up among the grass, as willows by the watercourses.One will say,‘ I am Yahweh’s;’ and another will be called by the name of Jacob; and another will write with his hand‘ to Yahweh,’ and honor the name of Israel.”

He said,“ Yahweh says,‘ Make this valley full of trenches.’For Yahweh says,‘ You will not see wind, neither will you see rain, yet that valley will be filled with water, and you will drink, both you and your livestock and your other animals.This is an easy thing in Yahweh’s sight. He will also deliver the Moabites into your hand.You shall strike every fortified city, and every choice city, and shall fell every good tree, and stop all springs of water, and mar every good piece of land with stones.’”In the morning, about the time of offering the sacrifice, behold, water came by the way of Edom, and the country was filled with water.

From there they traveled to Beer; that is the well of which Yahweh said to Moses,“ Gather the people together, and I will give them water.”Then Israel sang this song:“ Spring up, well! Sing to it,the well, which the princes dug, which the nobles of the people dug, with the scepter, and with their poles.” From the wilderness they traveled to Mattanah;

He said to me,“ Son of man, have you seen?” Then he brought me, and caused me to return to the bank of the river.Now when I had returned, behold, on the bank of the river were very many trees on the one side and on the other.Then he said to me,“ These waters flow out toward the eastern region, and will go down into the Arabah. Then they will go toward the sea; and flow into the sea which will be made to flow out; and the waters will be healed.It will happen, that every living creature which swarms, in every place where the rivers come, will live. Then there will be a very great multitude of fish; for these waters have come there, and the waters of the sea will be healed, and everything will live wherever the river comes.It will happen, that fishermen will stand by it. From En Gedi even to En Eglaim will be a place for the spreading of nets. Their fish will be after their kinds, as the fish of the great sea, exceedingly many.But the miry places of it, and its marshes, will not be healed. They will be given up to salt.By the river on its bank, on this side and on that side, will grow every tree for food, whose leaf won’t wither, neither will its fruit fail. It will produce new fruit every month, because its waters issue out of the sanctuary. Its fruit will be for food, and its leaf for healing.”
