我主立地基。親手設天幕。

你們要向天舉目，觀看下地；因為天必像煙氣而消散，地必像衣服漸漸破舊；其居民必像蠓蟲死去；惟獨我的救恩永遠長存，我的義氣必不廢掉。

天地會過去，我的話斷不能過去。

天上的萬象都必腐壞；天必被捲起、好像書卷；它的萬象必殘敗，像葡萄樹葉之殘敗，像無花果樹葉之凋殘。

我看見有一個白色的大寶座和那坐在上面的；地和天都從他面前逃避了；再也找不着其位置了。

被創造之物服在徒勞挫折之下、不是自願的，乃是因那叫它服在指望中者的旨意；

我看見有新的天和新的地；因為先前的天先前的地、已經過去；海也不再有了。

『永恆主發神諭說：我所要造的新天新地要怎樣在我面前長存立着，你們的後裔和你們的名字也必怎樣長存立着。

『因為看吧，我化造新的天新的地，先前的事不再被懷念了，不再回上心頭了。

天地會過去；我的話斷不能過去。

但現今的天和地呢、還是憑着那同一的話給火儲藏着保留着、等到審判的日子、不虔之人滅亡的日子。但親愛的、這一點你們可別忘了：在主看來，一日如千年，千年如一日。關於所應許的、主並不躭延，像有些人就看為躭延了；不，他乃是以恆忍待你們的；他不願有人滅亡，惟願人人都進到悔改的地步。但主的日子總必來到；來時就像賊一樣。當那日、天必轟然一聲地過去，星辰必因烈熾而被消毁，地和地上被造之物就不見了。這一切既都要這樣消毁，你們就該做甚麼樣的人，該怎樣以聖別的品行和虔敬來期待、來催促上帝日子之來臨呢？為了這個、天必被火燒𤏲而消毁，星辰必因烈熾而熔化。

上帝對摩西說：『我是永恆主耶和華』：又說：『你要對以色列人這麼說：「永恆主耶和華差遣了我來找你們。」』

但你呢、永恆主啊，你坐着為王到永遠；你的稱號代代長存。
