A little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the arms to rest,and your poverty will come like a robber, your need, like a bandit.

A man on the housetop must not come down to get things out of his house,and a man in the field must not go back to get his coat.

Therefore be alert, since you don’t know when the master of the house is coming— whether in the evening or at midnight or at the crowing of the rooster or early in the morning.Otherwise, when he comes suddenly he might find you sleeping.

Whatever your hands find to do, do with all your strength, because there is no work, planning, knowledge, or wisdom in Sheol where you are going.
