and be found in him, not because I have my own righteousness derived from the law, but because I have the righteousness that comes by way of Christ’s faithfulness– a righteousness from God that is in fact based on Christ’s faithfulness.

I want to be joined to him. Being right with God does not come from my obeying the law. It comes because I believe in Christ. It comes from God because of faith.

and become one with him. I no longer count on my own righteousness through obeying the law; rather, I become righteous through faith in Christ. For God’s way of making us right with himself depends on faith.

and may be found in Him, not having a righteousness of my own derived from the Law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which comes from God on the basis of faith,

God made the one who did not know sin to be sin for us, so that in him we would become the righteousness of God.

He is the reason you have a relationship with Christ Jesus, who became for us wisdom from God, and righteousness and sanctification and redemption,

For the promise to Abraham or to his descendants that he would inherit the world was not fulfilled through the law, but through the righteousness that comes by faith.For if they become heirs by the law, faith is empty and the promise is nullified.For the law brings wrath, because where there is no law there is no transgression either.

But to the one who does not work, but believes in the one who declares the ungodly righteous, his faith is credited as righteousness.So even David himself speaks regarding the blessedness of the man to whom God credits righteousness apart from works:

For the righteousness of God is revealed in the gospel from faith to faith, just as it is written,“ The righteous by faith will live.”

What shall we say then?– that the Gentiles who did not pursue righteousness obtained it, that is, a righteousness that is by faith,but Israel even though pursuing a law of righteousness did not attain it.Why not? Because they pursued it not by faith but( as if it were possible) by works. They stumbled over the stumbling stone,

yet we know that no one is justified by the works of the law but by the faithfulness of Jesus Christ. And we have come to believe in Christ Jesus, so that we may be justified by the faithfulness of Christ and not by the works of the law, because by the works of the law no one will be justified.

Having suffered, he will reflect on his work, he will be satisfied when he understands what he has done.“ My servant will acquit many, for he carried their sins.

For when we were in the flesh, the sinful desires, aroused by the law, were active in the members of our body to bear fruit for death.But now we have been released from the law, because we have died to what controlled us, so that we may serve in the new life of the Spirit and not under the old written code.What shall we say then? Is the law sin? Absolutely not! Certainly, I would not have known sin except through the law. For indeed I would not have known what it means to desire something belonging to someone else if the law had not said,“ Do not covet.”But sin, seizing the opportunity through the commandment, produced in me all kinds of wrong desires. For apart from the law, sin is dead.And I was once alive apart from the law, but with the coming of the commandment sin became aliveand I died. Under his rule Judah will enjoy safety and Jerusalem will live in security. At that time Jerusalem will be called“ The LORD has provided us with justice.”

There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.

Now we know that whatever the law says, it says to those who are under the law, so that every mouth may be silenced and the whole world may be held accountable to God.For no one is declared righteous before him by the works of the law, for through the law comes the knowledge of sin.But now apart from the law the righteousness of God( which is attested by the law and the prophets) has been disclosed–namely, the righteousness of God through the faithfulness of Jesus Christ for all who believe. Is the law therefore opposed to the promises of God? Absolutely not! For if a law had been given that was able to give life, then righteousness would certainly have come by the law.But the scripture imprisoned everything and everyone under sin so that the promise could be given– because of the faithfulness of Jesus Christ– to those who believe.

For with the heart one believes and thus has righteousness and with the mouth one confesses and thus has salvation.

For there is not one truly righteous person on the earth who continually does good and never sins.

he saved us not by works of righteousness that we have done but on the basis of his mercy, through the washing of the new birth and the renewing of the Holy Spirit,

He is the one who saved us and called us with a holy calling, not based on our works but on his own purpose and grace, granted to us in Christ Jesus before time began,

Go and learn what this saying means:‘ I want mercy and not sacrifice.’ For I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners.”

If we say we do not bear the guilt of sin, we are deceiving ourselves and the truth is not in us.But if we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous, forgiving us our sins and cleansing us from all unrighteousness.If we say we have not sinned, we make him a liar and his word is not in us.

Do not sit in judgment on your servant, for no one alive is innocent before you.

“ The time will come when your people will sin against you( for there is no one who is sinless!) and you will be angry with them and deliver them over to their enemies, who will take them as prisoners to their own land, whether far away or close by.

Everyone rejects God; they are all morally corrupt. None of them does what is right, not even one!

Who can know all his errors? Please do not punish me for sins I am unaware of.

What is man that he should be pure, or one born of woman, that he should be righteous?If God places no trust in his holy ones, if even the heavens are not pure in his eyes,how much less man, who is abominable and corrupt, who drinks in evil like water!
