好使你們無可指摘、純真無邪，在這彎曲乖謬的世代中，作神沒有瑕疵的兒女；你們要在這世代中發光，好像天上的光體一樣，

好使你們無可責備、而又天真，在彎曲乖僻的世代中做上帝的兒女、無瑕無疵；你們顯於其中像發光之體在世界裏，

好使你們成為無可指責、純潔無偽的人，在這扭曲、敗壞的世代中，做神毫無瑕疵的兒女；在這世代中，要像星星的光輝一樣照耀在世上。

俾爾純粹無疵為上帝子、無瑕於邪逆之世、顯為燭世之光、

毋間隙、毋駁雜、猶上帝子、處橫逆之境、無疵可議、反光燭於世、

則可純潔無疵、為天主之子、無可指摘、在此邪僻詭異詭異或作乖戾之世、可照耀其中、如燭世之光、

俾成完人、而為天主之孝子、處邪污之世、而能保守清白、明如日月、照耀乾坤；

so that you may become blameless and pure,“ children of God without fault in a warped and crooked generation.” Then you will shine among them like stars in the sky

Then you will be pure and without blame. You will be children of God without fault among sinful and evil people. Then you will shine among them like stars in the sky.

that you may be blameless and innocent, children of God without blemish in the midst of a crooked and twisted generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world,

so that no one can criticize you. Live clean, innocent lives as children of God, shining like bright lights in a world full of crooked and perverse people.

so that you may be blameless and pure, children of God who are faultless in a crooked and perverted generation, among whom you shine like stars in the world,

so that you will prove yourselves to be blameless and innocent, children of God above reproach in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you appear as lights in the world,

that you may become blameless and harmless, children of God without fault in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world,

so that you may be blameless and pure, children of God who are faultless in a crooked and perverted generation, among whom you shine like stars in the world.

That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world;

so that you may be blameless and pure, children of God without blemish though you live in a crooked and perverse society, in which you shine as lights in the world

Ye are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hid.Neither do men light a lamp, and put it under the bushel, but on the stand; and it shineth unto all that are in the house.Even so let your light shine before men; that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven.

that ye may be sons of your Father who is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sendeth rain on the just and the unjust.

having your behavior seemly among the Gentiles; that, wherein they speak against you as evil- doers, they may by your good works, which they behold, glorify God in the day of visitation.

They have dealt corruptly with him, they are not his children, it is their blemish; They are a perverse and crooked generation.

Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of Jehovah is risen upon thee.

Behold what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called children of God; and such we are. For this cause the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.Beloved, now are we children of God, and it is not yet made manifest what we shall be. We know that, if he shall be manifested, we shall be like him; for we shall see him even as he is.And every one that hath this hope set on him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.

Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for these things, give diligence that ye may be found in peace, without spot and blameless in his sight.

who shall also confirm you unto the end, that ye be unreproveable in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Ye therefore shall be perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect.

as children of obedience, not fashioning yourselves according to your former lusts in the time of your ignorance:but like as he who called you is holy, be ye yourselves also holy in all manner of living;because it is written, Ye shall be holy; for I am holy.And if ye call on him as Father, who without respect of persons judgeth according to each man’s work, pass the time of your sojourning in fear:

not purloining, but showing all good fidelity; that they may adorn the doctrine of God our Saviour in all things.

so that ye may approve the things that are excellent; that ye may be sincere and void of offence unto the day of Christ;

But ye are an elect race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God’s own possession, that ye may show forth the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:

And with many other words he testified, and exhorted them, saying, Save yourselves from this crooked generation.

that he might present the church to himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.

Be not ye therefore partakers with them;For ye were once darkness, but are now light in the Lord: walk as children of light

The bishop therefore must be without reproach, the husband of one wife, temperate, sober- minded, orderly, given to hospitality, apt to teach;

And the God of peace himself sanctify you wholly; and may your spirit and soul and body be preserved entire, without blame at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Be ye therefore imitators of God, as beloved children;and walk in love, even as Christ also loved you, and gave himself up for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for an odor of a sweet smell.

For your obedience is come abroad unto all men. I rejoice therefore over you: but I would have you wise unto that which is good, and simple unto that which is evil.

And let these also first be proved; then let them serve as deacons, if they be blameless.

Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves.

and from among your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away the disciples after them.

And Jesus answered and said, O faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you? how long shall I bear with you? bring him hither to me.

And they were both righteous before God, walking in all the commandments and ordinances of the Lord blameless.

if any man is blameless, the husband of one wife, having children that believe, who are not accused of riot or unruly.

But love your enemies, and do them good, and lend, never despairing; and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be sons of the Most High: for he is kind toward the unthankful and evil.
