doing nothing through faction or through vainglory, but in lowliness of mind each counting other better than himself;

But if ye have bitter jealousy and faction in your heart, glory not and lie not against the truth.This wisdom is not a wisdom that cometh down from above, but is earthly, sensual, devilish.For where jealousy and faction are, there is confusion and every vile deed.But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, easy to be entreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without variance, without hypocrisy.And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace for them that make peace.Whence come wars and whence come fightings among you? come they not hence, even of your pleasures that war in your members?

And let him turn away from evil, and do good; Let him seek peace, and pursue it.

And there arose a sharp contention, so that they parted asunder one from the other, and Barnabas took Mark with him, and sailed away unto Cyprus:

And when there had been much questioning, Peter rose up, and said unto them, Brethren, ye know that a good while ago God made choice among you, that by my mouth the Gentiles should hear the word of the gospel, and believe.

Follow after peace with all men, and the sanctification without which no man shall see the Lord:

These are murmurers, complainers, walking after their lusts( and their mouth speaketh great swelling words), showing respect of persons for the sake of advantage.

for ye are yet carnal: for whereas there is among you jealousy and strife, are ye not carnal, and do ye not walk after the manner of men?For when one saith, I am of Paul; and another, I am of Apollos; are ye not men?What then is Apollos? and what is Paul? Ministers through whom ye believed; and each as the Lord gave to him.

See that none render unto any one evil for evil; but always follow after that which is good, one toward another, and toward all.

Now I beseech you, brethren, through the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfected together in the same mind and in the same judgment.For it hath been signified unto me concerning you, my brethren, by them that are of the household of Chloe, that there are contentions among you.Now this I mean, that each one of you saith, I am of Paul; and I of Apollos; and I of Cephas; and I of Christ.

And when they received it, they murmured against the householder,

For I fear, lest by any means, when I come, I should find you not such as I would, and should myself be found of you such as ye would not; lest by any means there should be strife, jealousy, wraths, factions, backbitings, whisperings, swellings, tumults;

And they came to Capernaum: and when he was in the house he asked them, What were ye reasoning on the way?But they held their peace: for they had disputed one with another on the way, who was the greatest.

By pride cometh only contention; But with the well- advised is wisdom.

How long shall I bear with this evil congregation, that murmur against me? I have heard the murmurings of the children of Israel, which they murmur against me.

For this ointment might have been sold for above three hundred shillings, and given to the poor. And they murmured against her.

and to esteem them exceeding highly in love for their work’s sake. Be at peace among yourselves.

If any man teacheth a different doctrine, and consenteth not to sound words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which is according to godliness;he is puffed up, knowing nothing, but doting about questionings and disputes of words, whereof cometh envy, strife, railings, evil surmisings,wranglings of men corrupted in mind and bereft of the truth, supposing that godliness is a way of gain.

Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them that are causing the divisions and occasions of stumbling, contrary to the doctrine which ye learned: and turn away from them.
