然此亦何妨、其意或偽或誠、無論如何、基督究以是而傳矣、我為之而樂、亦必終樂、

雖然、是亦何傷？無論其心意之誠也偽也、其揄揚基督則一；此吾之所為歡欣鼓舞、而不能自已者也。

And because of my chains, most of the brothers and sisters have become confident in the Lord and dare all the more to proclaim the gospel without fear.It is true that some preach Christ out of envy and rivalry, but others out of goodwill.The latter do so out of love, knowing that I am put here for the defense of the gospel.The former preach Christ out of selfish ambition, not sincerely, supposing that they can stir up trouble for me while I am in chains.

So what shall I do? I will pray with my spirit, but I will also pray with my understanding; I will sing with my spirit, but I will also sing with my understanding.
