When Phinehas son of Eleazar, the son of Aaron, the priest, saw this, he left the assembly, took a spear in his hand

Phinehas was a priest. He was the son of Eleazar, the son of Aaron. When Phinehas saw what had happened, he left the people. He took a spear in his hand.

迨乎非尼哈崛興、施厥刑罰、疾疫以止兮、

祭司非尼哈、與牧伯及以色列億兆族長、聞流便伽得、馬拿西族之言、則悅。祭司以利亞撒子非尼哈、告流便伽得馬拿西族曰、我今日知耶和華祐我、因爾不違耶和華、如此則援以色列族免耶和華降災於我。○

耶和華使惡神憑掃羅、掃羅持戟坐於室中、大闢鼓琴、

越日上帝使惡神憑掃羅於室中、為神所憑而言。大闢仍鼓琴、掃羅執戟、擲之欲刺大闢、釘之於墻、大闢逃避者再。
