Then an Israelite man brought into the camp a Midianite woman right before the eyes of Moses and the whole assembly of Israel while they were weeping at the entrance to the tent of meeting.

Then an Israelite man brought into the camp a Midianite woman. He did it right in front of the eyes of Moses and the whole community of Israel. They were weeping at the entrance to the tent of meeting.

And behold, one of the people of Israel came and brought a Midianite woman to his family, in the sight of Moses and in the sight of the whole congregation of the people of Israel, while they were weeping in the entrance of the tent of meeting.

Just then one of the Israelite men brought a Midianite woman into his tent, right before the eyes of Moses and all the people, as everyone was weeping at the entrance of the Tabernacle.

An Israelite man came bringing a Midianite woman to his relatives in the sight of Moses and the whole Israelite community while they were weeping at the entrance to the tent of meeting.

Then behold, one of the sons of Israel came and brought to his relatives a Midianite woman, in the sight of Moses and in the sight of the whole congregation of the sons of Israel, while they were weeping at the entrance of the tent of meeting.

And indeed, one of the children of Israel came and presented to his brethren a Midianite woman in the sight of Moses and in the sight of all the congregation of the children of Israel, who were weeping at the door of the tabernacle of meeting.

And, behold, one of the children of Israel came and brought unto his brethren a Midianitish woman in the sight of Moses, and in the sight of all the congregation of the children of Israel, while they were weeping at the door of the tent of meeting.

An Israelite man came bringing a Midianite woman to his relatives in the sight of Moses and the whole Israelite community while they were weeping at the entrance to the tent of meeting.

And, behold, one of the children of Israel came and brought unto his brethren a Midianitish woman in the sight of Moses, and in the sight of all the congregation of the children of Israel, who[ were] weeping[ before] the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.

Just then one of the Israelites came and brought to his brothers a Midianite woman in the plain view of Moses and of the whole community of the Israelites, while they were weeping at the entrance of the tent of meeting.

Behold, one of the children of Israel came and brought to his brothers a Midianite woman in the sight of Moses, and in the sight of all the congregation of the children of Israel, while they were weeping at the door of the Tent of Meeting.

祭司在耶和華前、供厥役事、當於廡下祭壇間、澘然出涕、曰、耶和華與、斯民也、本屬乎爾、求爾寛宥、不致蒙羞、為異邦人所統轄、異邦人凌侮之、曰、爾之上帝安在、亦奚以為、

告米田長老曰、此族眾多、並吞四方、如牛嚙草、

汝為以色列族報仇、罰米田人、而後返本。

今萬有之主耶和華、頒厥詔命、使爾號哭、薙髮衣麻、

耶和華之使、以斯言告以色列族、民大聲號泣。

如海波濤、自吐污沫、如星離舍、永歸幽暗、

以士喇離殿、入以利亞實子約哈難室、見被虜而歸之眾、干犯罪戾、中心殷憂、不食不飲。普告猶大耶路撒冷、被虜而歸者、使咸會於都城、凡不聽諸伯長老命、三日不至者、籍沒所有、驅於會外。越三日、即九月二十日、猶大便雅憫眾、咸至耶路撒冷、坐於殿前之衢、緣犯罪愆、天降霪雨、莫不戰慄。

甘霖不沛、春澍不降、爾靦顏不知恥、有若淫婦。

與米田女同戮之以色列人、屬西面族中最著者、撒路子心哩。被誅之女、屬米田族中最著者、牧伯蘇耳之女、哥斯庇。○

既聞此詛言、猶心內自慰曰、我渴己止、我飲愈多、從心所欲、亦可獲安、若此者耶和華必不赦宥、其怒甚烈、以致中心如焚、氣如煙燄、必攻此人、以書所載之詛、加乎其身、塗抹其名於天下、在以色列諸支派中、耶和華必區別之、加以譴責、循此書所載之詛言。

嗣後民長就我曰、斯土之民、迦南人、赫人、比哩洗人、耶布士人、亞捫人、摩押人、埃及人、亞摩哩人、俱作不善、以色列族眾、祭司、及利未人、與居與處、則清濁不判。成聖之民、與斯土之人雜處、娶其女為妻為媳、民長牧伯、先犯此罪。我聞之不禁裂裳衣、拔鬚髮、愕然而坐、凡凜遵以色列族上帝之道者、聞被虜而歸之眾、干犯罪戾、咸來見我、我愕然而坐、越至薄暮、獻祭之時、憂心悄悄、裂衣曲跽、向天舉手、禱我上帝耶和華、

若其犯罪、毫無畏葸、則欺我孰甚、不論宗族賓旅必殄絕於民中。既藐視我命、干犯我律、其罪歸之、悉行殲滅。○

今我萬有之主耶和華以色列族之上帝、告爾猶大遺民、如爾定志、必往埃及而居、則爾所懼之鋒刃饑饉、踵爾之後、在埃及遇之、令爾死亡。凡定志必往埃及、欲居於彼、必遇鋒刃、饑饉、癘疫、而亡、我既降災、必不得免、靡有孑遺。萬有之主、以色列族之上帝耶和華又曰、昔我震怒、降災於耶路撒冷居民、今爾欲居埃及、我必震怒、降災於爾、且為人咒詛駭異、受人凌侮嗟訝、不得歸於故土。

以色列人奪其妻孥、攘其牛羊、掠其貨財、城垣閭里、燬之以火、貨財什物、刧之以歸、以所得之人與物、攜之至摩押平原、約但河濱、耶利哥相嚮、建營之所、見摩西及祭司以利亞撒、與以色列會眾。摩西及祭司以利亞撒、暨諸會長、出營以迎、千夫長、百夫長、及全軍之統轄、既戰而歸、摩西見之怒甚、曰、奚拯眾婦、存其生乎。彼從巴蘭之言、誘以色列族、逆耶和華、服役於比耳、故耶和華降災於會眾。

彼於白晝、樂宴樂、詭道謀食、在爾筵中、為瑕為垢、所視無非惡色、獲罪不已、厥必常貪、信道不篤者、為其所惑、如此之人、可以咒詛、離正道而迷罔、從破朔子巴蘭之行、巴蘭貪不義之利、

迦哩亞子約哈難、與武士長、庶民、不聽耶和華命、不居猶大、率猶大遺民、乃昔驅至列邦而歸、欲居猶大地者、

猶底誦三四篇、遂以削簡之刀割之、投之於爐、全卷悉焚。

爾藉耶和華名、傳諭於我、我不聽從、我所欲者我必為之、昔我列祖、王公、在猶大諸邑、耶路撒冷逵衢焚香灌奠、奉事天后、當時咸得果腹、所遇亨通、不遘患難、

彼行可惡之事、豈有羞惡之心哉、恬不知羞、毫不懷慙、故我耶和華降災之時、必使傾圮、淪胥以亡。
