They came to Capernaum. When he was in the house, he asked them,“ What were you arguing about on the road?”

门徒开始议论他们当中谁最伟大。耶稣知道他们的心思，就叫了一个小孩子来，让他站在自己身旁，然后对门徒说：“任何人为了我的缘故接待这样一个小孩子，就是接待我；接待我，就是接待差我来的那位。你们当中最卑微的其实是最伟大的。”

这时，门徒上前来，问耶稣：“在天国谁最伟大？”耶稣叫了一个小孩子来站在他们当中，然后说：“我实在告诉你们，你们若不变得像小孩子那样，绝不能进天国。所以，凡像这小孩子一样谦卑的人，在天国才是最伟大的。“任何人为了我的名而接待这样一个小孩子，就是接待了我。

耶和华啊，你洞察我的内心，知道我的一切。我或坐下或起来，你都知道，你从远处就知道我的心思意念。我或外出或躺卧，你都了解，你熟悉我的一切行为。耶和华啊，我话未出口，你已洞悉一切。

耶稣第三次问：“约翰的儿子西门，你爱我吗？”彼得因为耶稣一连三次这样问他，就难过起来，于是对耶稣说：“主啊！你是无所不知的，你知道我爱你。”耶稣说：“你要喂养我的羊。

我要击杀她的爪牙，使众教会都知道我洞察人的心思意念，我要照你们各人的行为对待你们。

不用别人告诉祂，祂也深知人的内心。

受造物在上帝面前都无法隐藏，因为万物都是赤裸裸地暴露在上帝眼前，我们必须向祂交账。

耶稣立刻看透了他们的心思，就说：“你们为什么这样心里议论呢？

他们来到迦百农，有几个收圣殿税的来问彼得：“你们的老师不纳圣殿税吗？”
